   The food at SeaWitch was absolutely fantastic, but the experience was ruined by an appalling and offensive encounter with one of the servers at the end of our meal. While my party was discussing the Bayou Classic, a server—not our waiter—interjected and said he wished the event would “go away.” Curious, we asked why. I fully expected him to repeat the tired and upsetting stereotype about Black people not tipping, which would have been offensive enough. But what he actually said was far worse. He claimed the event brings “the most murders to our city” and even revealed that he and other staff at SeaWitch took bets on how many people would be shot. He boasted about winning the bet, proudly stating the number was 14. I was stunned and told him his comment was racist, to which he simply walked away. I spoke with the manager, who apologized and expressed sympathy, but I left the restaurant feeling hurt, angry, and deeply unsettled. To hear such a hateful and dehumanizing comment in what should have been a celebratory meal was shocking. While the food was excellent, I cannot recommend a place where this type of behavior is tolerated or where staff members feel comfortable voicing such racist and harmful views. This type of culture requires urgent change.

   The food, ambience and wait staff were fantastic! This is a must visit restaurant! We will definitely be back!

   Decent food and service. The Lobster and Grits special was delicious. Perfect for solo-dining.

   The oysters were as great as all of the reviews say that they are. We got the Panko Fried with the “Cajun” caviar. Service was excellent. I think that the waiter’s name was Jordan. The manager passed by a few times to check on us. We enjoyed the entrees. Just wish that they had valet parking or a better lot. We ended up having to walk from up a dim lit street. Other than that, we will definitely come back.

   Overall this was a very good experience. The restaurant is nicely laid out. There was music on the patio. The service was excellent. We started with the Crackins' and Caviar (1 caviar, 4 roes) which was very good. We had the blue Cheese salad which could have been excellent but it had too much dressing and got a bit soggy. We ended with the crispy duck with a side of brussel sprouts. Both were very good with the slight exception of the pieces of sliced duck which, weirdly, was too salty. The leg that was on the plate was perfect. We have no idea why the breast part was salty. Overall, I'd eat there again as the menu has a lot to try.

    There were some execution errors with our food, but they were not to the point of returning a dish. The server and oyster man were fantastic. The menu is excellent and the bar seems solid too. I only had a draft beer, but the selection was unique and well balanced. We will be back!
