TL;DR: The food was good, the ambiance was fantastic, and the live music was great. However, 90 minutes before my reservation, I was informed of a $150 minimum spend per reservation for parties of two or more, something never disclosed when I booked a month in advance. When I called for clarification, the restaurant admitted they were still “working with partners to add it to the website.” This last-minute “heads up” was unacceptable, unprofessional, and disrespectful to customers. I won’t be back. ———————————- I booked this reservation one month in advance for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. The day before, I confirmed via OpenTable through the confirmation email , with no mention of any new policies. Then, 90 minutes before my reservation, the day OF the reservation, I received a voicemail going over standard policies (dress code, 2-hour seating limit, 15-minute grace period). But then, suddenly, I was told there was a $150 minimum spend per reservation for 2+ guests—something I had never seen anywhere when booking. I called to verify and was told, “Yes, that’s our policy.” When I asked, “Since when? This wasn’t on the website,” the response was, “We are working with our partners to add it.” So they ambushed guests at the last minute, knowing we likely wouldn’t cancel. It also applies only to the weekend: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - not just “special days” like Valentine’s Day. It’s not about the money—I can afford it. The issue is the lack of transparency and disregard for customers who booked under one set of terms, only to have them changed at the last minute. I went through with the dinner since it was a special night, but the frustration overshadowed the experience. Suddenly adding a $150 minimum spend without notice is so messed up. Not worth the nice ambience for the disrespect and shady business tactics. I won’t be back, and I’d caution others before booking here. (Oh, and they really did make us spend it.)

Disappointing Experience Despite High Expectations I recently visited Segreto Lounge and was excited to enjoy a night of good music, drinks, and food. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. I spent $500 on a two-top table, tipped the band during their first set (apparently the only one to do so), and was fully enjoying the ambiance when, after an hour and 45 minutes, I was abruptly told to leave. No prior warning, no indication at the time of reservation of a two-hour table limit—nothing. Had I known, I would have opted to sit at the bar instead of being unceremoniously displaced after spending such a significant amount. To make matters worse, when they “offered” us seats at the bar after throwing us out, the bar was full—despite there being open seats when we first arrived. It’s clear that accommodating paying customers was not a priority here. As for the food, the sliders were dry and overcooked—more akin to hockey pucks than gourmet bites. The only redeeming feature of the evening was the band, which was truly excellent. Adding insult to injury, the crowd that replaced us skewed very young—early 20s at best. It’s clear this establishment prioritizes a trendy, revolving-door vibe over catering to patrons who come to spend generously and enjoy a relaxed, upscale evening. If Segreto wants to enforce a table limit, they should disclose it at the time of reservation. And if they want to build a loyal clientele, they should focus on treating customers with respect rather than rushing them out the door to make way for a younger crowd. Very disappointed, and I won’t be returning.

I have been to Segreto multiple times with my wife and friends and we usually have a decent time here, but our recent experience was incredibly disappointing. After being seated and ordering our drinks, I had a manager (white male) while I was walking from the bathroom back to my table for not wearing my sport coat inside. I told him my wife was wearing my coat because she was cold, he didn’t seem to care and sent someone else to our table to reprimand me, and had my wife take the coat off so I can put it back on. What made this encounter even more frustrating was that several white patrons around us were also seated without sport coats, yet they were not approached or addressed at all. The inconsistency in enforcing the dress code felt unfair and left a negative impression.

Food was alright, prices just like the affiliated restaurant next to it, the caviar missed some sides too. Oh well… Service in the restaurant was great but, when I was on the phone changing the reservation from 4 to 2 guests, the girl had the audacity to say “since its going to be only 2, do you accept that minimum spend is $150?” This clause is ridiculous; if you have a strict dress code, every single guest will spend more than the amount mentioned. Its pointless, petty and disrespectful to mention it. Long story short, spend more than that and just the tip was half of the required amount.

Overall a great place! Music and vibe is nice. My only complaint was that they called me 2 hours before my reservation and left a message saying there was $150 minimum charge. It would’ve been nice if that information was revealed when booking.

I went to celebrate my b-day on December, the food was horrible, very pricey and Taco Bell is better. I don’t mind paying but it was definitely trash…the music (as if I was in a wedding- outdated music), extremely loud (can’t hear anyone even if people scream to each other… the bathrooms were the highlight- very pretty but the rest of the place could have lots of improvement. It’s definitely not worth the hype. I regretted I wished I have chosen a better place to celebrate such an important day. I don’t expect to go back unless it’s to celebrate someone else, to be there for them but not because of the place.

Great drinks but takes forever to get them. Even with table reservation, it took 35-45 min for drinks.
