    Multiple dates available
Thursdays from 8PM - 11PM Sempre Oggi welcomes David Kastin, who has been a DJ in New York for over 30 years, for a curated set from his personal record collection. I bought my first record in 1975. It was Aerosmith’s debut album. Ever since then I have had a love affair with vinyl. It all started with early 70’s rock, then into the late 70’s I was collecting disco ala Studio 54. Next was punk/post punk new wave and my collection grew significantly. In the late 80’s I discovered an old school NYC dance party DJed by none other than David Mancuso called The Loft and it changed my life. The Loft exposed me to so much music, one could hear almost anything from disco to funk, soul, house and rock and post punk it was so eclectic and inspiring

Loved everything. The waiter made a great suggestion and it was a success. Nice to talk without shouting over music.

Food was okay, the Caesar salad was the best thing we had. Unfortunately our main dishes took like 45 min to come out, way too long and we were starving. No apologies or offer of a free dessert or drink which is kind of unacceptable when something like this happens. Won’t return, there are too many other restaurants with quicker service in the area.

Food was excellent. Tables for two were extremely close to each other. At that price I dont relish eating with another couple in my lap or no privacy for conversation.

This restaurant is exceptional from the service to the delicious food. The Caesar salad was superb, as were our main courses. We both had pasta and it had excellent flavor and was really perfection. The servers were extremely attentive throughout the evening. We look forward to going back. Highly recommend!

We live around the corner and have been meaning to go here--Valentine's day felt like the perfect opportunity. Once you step in, you're transported away from the casual vibes of the Upper West Side and into an elegant fantasy that reminds you to treat yourself. Notable moments: The service here is perfect--our waitstaff were so kind, efficient, and helpful all the way through. They aren't stuffy and are, in fact, very human, but they provide that upscale service all the same. The food is gorgeous. The Valentine's prefixe was $75 a person. My partner got a plate of calamari as an app that was big enough to share, and the escarole salad I chose was lush and bountiful. Our pasta mains were well-portioned, not to mention al dente and seasoned to perfection. We also received two desserts for the pre-fixe price--both of which felt like gourmet iterations of homestyle favorites. It's kind of like this whole restaurant. The ambiance is relaxed yet upscale. My partner and I are by no means fancy people, and yet, we felt welcome! We saw people of all backgrounds and dresscodes come and go. There's a buzz of conversations around you, but it's not so loud that you can't have a conversation. The only slight discomfort we experienced was that our table was kind of wedged next to another table and the main hallway where the waistaff hung out--we assumed maybe they overbooked for the night and had to make new tables--but it was worth nothing more than a giggle and asmile once we realized. And hardly took away from the experience. Instead, it was a great vantage point for people watching and the perfect place for attentive service.

Excellent and well priced Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu. Comfortable, buzzy dining room. Very good service. Food was excellent and wines by the glass were great. The desserts were fine, but not as good at the rest of the meal. This restaurant is a great, upscale (but not insanely expensive) option. We’ve been before and will definitely be back again!

Our first time at this Upper West Side restaurant. We had great waiter service - she was patient and explained the dishes. She was very gracious and welcoming! I didn't enjoy my selections; maybe trying other items another time will lead to a better experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience on Valentine's Day. We were impressed with the service, the food, and the drinks -- especially the cocktail created for the special Valentine's Day menu -- and will look forward to returning. The venue was well appointed, and the calm ambience allowed us to savor both our meal and our conversation.

From the minute we arrived, we were greeted and treated in a professional and friendly manner. Our wait-person Emma was top-notch and guided us through the menu and made sure what we ordered met our needs for a table of three! The food was prepared and presented as described and quality exceeded any expectations we may have had. Congratulations to the Chef and entire staff at “Sempre Oggi”!

After I got over the demise of Cesca (the restaurant that used to be in this space), I made my first visit to its successor with a party of five, mid-week. The space is sleek and upscale, albeit slightly confusing from a decor standpoint. (Why was our table nook divided on one side by a rattan screen and on the other side by a sort of grill made of tree-trunk slices mounted on iron rods?) The service was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious, but invariably a bit too rich and bit too heavy than it needed (or I wanted it) to be. Even the vegetables! The carrots -- which were fabulous -- were drenched in an olive oil/herb sauce and crusted with pistachio nuts. Even the salads were a bit overdressed. I will almost certainly return, but only after skipping lunch that day.
