The Seven Stars Inn is the original Chester County steakhouse. We may be new to OpenTable, but we have been wowing our guests for over 275 years by featuring overly generous portions of the finest beef, veal and seafood served in a gracious white table cloth atmosphere. Legend has it that the Inn even served President George Washington himself in this very same historic building set in scenic Chester County.

The cocktail lounge is warm and inviting, and the well thought out wine list includes a broad spectrum of varietals and geographic origins.

Family friendly, the Seven Stars has not only a great Children’s Menu but also a Young Adult’s Menu. Both of these menus scale down the size of the serving and price of their offerings to help mom and dad afford an evening out with the whole family.

All major credit cards are welcomed.

Menu was outrageously, shockingly overpriced. I live near the restaurant but will never eat there again.

Our visit to Seven Stars on Valentine's Day was highly disappointing. We were seated at 9:15pm for an 8pm reservation because "the kitchen couldn't keep up with the orders". Once seated it didn't get much better. They had run out of the soup on the menu and our steaks were very overcooked. So much so, we sent them back which we hate to do, but when paying ~$96 for a piece of meat it should be cooked perfectly. The applesauce was great. The potatoes, while cold when served, were delicious as well. Our server Jen was fantastic as were the bartenders and hostesses.

Good but not great. Not a good value. Service was 1st rate. Food was ok but not great. Filet was tough. Lobster was only warm not hot.

The history behind the restaurant is the best part. The food was overpriced and not great. Steak came out undercooked and had to be sent back. Crème burele’ came out with raw sugar on it because their torch ran out of fuel. Appetizers were so extremely salty. Just sucks that such a beautiful place turned into such a mess. The outside of the place looks like a complete disaster. The only good part of the meal was the apple chutney and the Bloody Mary. Hopefully the new owners take this feedback as a wake up call. Step it up and fix your menu, prices and appearance. Hollandaise sauce does not need to be on 7 different items. At least the waitress was nice. Felt bad about the steak and dessert.

Have been going here for over 25 years for my husbands birthday. I had heard it wasn't the same and it wasn't. Our server hardly ever checked on us, but in her defense there didn't look like there were many servers. On a Saturday night the place was not very crowded. Lobster we both ordered was tough and chewy but we ate it. My husbands steak was not really cooked like he ordered. Paid $300 for a dinner that certainly wasn't worth it. Won't be going back again.

There were 4 of us at dinner. It took a while before we were approached by our server. We ordered drinks. My friend specifically asked for gin and tonic with lemon. It came with a lime. I specifically ordered caesar salad with EXTRA dressing on the side. There was no extra dressing and I had to wait a while before I could get the server's attention to get more. One of my friends saw our order brought out from the kitchen. It sat there for quite a while before our server delivered it to our table. When we finally got it, the food was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen to be reheated. One of the steaks was not correctly cooked to order. My friend ordered a second gin and tonic and had to remind the server about it. Overall, our server was not very friendly and appeared put out when we asked questions. In the men's room there were two urinals, and both were out of order covered with plastic bags. The carpets looked old, worn and dirty. Details like this make a difference. The average rating for the 4 of us, on a scale of 1 to 10, was 4. The service, the food, and the overall restaurant has gone downhill. I've been to 7 Stars quite a number of times, but last night was terrible. Not sure I'll give it another try.
