Shere Khan first opened its doors in 1987 and was the first fully licensed Indian restaurant
on the now famed “Curry Mile” in Rusholme.

Shere Khan helped create a new generation of Indian eateries by combining modern design with traditional Indian tastes.

In the past 25 years Shere Khan’s brand has grown and we have sites in the Trafford Centre and Meadowhall, as well as our flagship restaurant.

I booked this for 5 of us based on the reviews given. The place is easy enough to find and parking at the rear was good. I like my curries spicey and thought I would try the Chicken Brabi (I think I spelt it correct) and was showing 3 chillis and said very hot. Well, a Massala was hotter. Absolutely disappointed. I of our friends had same and she said it was poor and not spicey at all. In fact I tried our other friends Lamb dish which was showing just 1 chilli and that was hotter than my 3 chilli dish. Really poor and will not be recommeding Shere Khan or going back - glad there are plenty on curry mile!

I attended Shere khan on Saturday evening. I was sadly disappointed with the quality of food. This was the first ever meal I’ve pushed to the side and not eaten the chicken in The curry seem to taste strange and the texture was not normal. I informed one of the staff and he told me he will make me a new curry with (proper chicken)which I thought was strange I declined the offer, paid the bill and I will not be attending again…

I order from here quite often since the kids love the curry, we decided to go to the restaurant for a change and the food is so much nicer when its fresh out the kitchen, they really loved it.

Had to ask to order 3 times. Server barely communicated with us. Ordering and food were very late. No one updated us, offered an apology or explained. We asked why it was late and were given no explanation. We were overcharged by our bill, so not trustworthy establishment. Won't be coming back sadly.

Strongly disappointed in their service, I reserved my table online and received sms regarding the confirmation of my reservation, after I arrived, found that they are not able to maintain the booking. After waiting 20 minutes I got to the table and had to spend a long time to place my order, in addition I had to wait a long time to get the food, though it's an Asian cuisine, I felt that they are giving much more priority to provide table, taking order and serve food to other people, as an Asian people, I didn't feel welcome there. The owner should have trained up staff to give equal priority to all customers. I strongly recommend Asian people to not take hospitality from this restaurant. Spending money is not worth it there. Single star rating on service is overrated.

Took the cast of my show out for our last night meal. Booked really late with 16 people but they were completely unfazed. Staff were courteous and accommodating throughout. Great food, great service at a very decent price. I shall be back!

On arrival it took the staff 40 mins to come and take the orders, the restaurant had 3 tables when we went in and wasn’t very busy the staff kept walking round us looking bored, we only had 1 course which 2hrs in the restaurant was very poor. We had to ask for the bill twice from two different staff and wouldn’t let us pay at the bar because they had one staff doing bills and it came handwritten. Very poor, was violently ill the next day from the food, won’t be back
