Sherwood Forest Lodge is a must see when in the Lakes Area. Marked in the records of the National Historical Society, Sherwood Forest Lodge originated in the 1920’s and has been part of the area ever since the redwood logs that came from California bound for Duluth harbor, were abandoned at a lakes area depot. Those logs were then used to construct Sherwood Forest Lodge and the surrounding cabins.

Today, Sherwood Forest features a full bar and menu in an appealing rustic atmosphere. Delicious Chef inspired dishes are well worthy of a visit as well as seating indoor and outdoors on the large patio with fireplace. A place for friends to gather over cocktails, or bring the family for a tasty lunch or supper.

SFL is our destination dinner spot whenever we visit Nisswa. Tall ceilings with good separations among tables. Service was efficient and attentive but not overbearing. Good quality food and great options. Potstickers is a must-try appetizer!

You can’t beat the ambiance of this beautiful log building. The food was so delicious. Get the potstickers for an appetizer. The sea bass and the walleye were cooked perfectly. The bar manager was also our server and she was the best. I can’t wait to go back.

Service was friendly and food arrived quickly. Sea bass and asparagus were cooked perfectly. Club sandwich was good.

Everything was perfect. We started at your bar for drinks and our bartender was awesome and then our dinner was excellent and so was our waitress. Thank you for an incredible evening. Jim and Judy Wnuk managers and owners of Point Narrows Resort on Gull Lake. We will definitely send our vacationer’s to your supper club.

We continue to come back to Sherwood in order to support a local business however every time we are less impressed. Menu is limited and quite frankly overpriced. Service is lacking, especially given the pricing. She tried to remove my wife’s cocktail before it was empty and same with her meal. We were never offered water refills and as we were leaving we realized it was because our server was eating. We were one of 2 tables in the restaurant at the time so really no excuse for poor service.
