   The staff were very attentive and personable and made my birthday dinner very special. Booth was comfy, lighting was good, food came out quick and was delicious.

   celebrated birthday...food was really good however wish the Duck came with more pieces...I ate my friends fries to fill up thank you

   We have been to Shirley Brasserie several times and truly love it. The food, drinks and service are seriously top notch with a well rounded, French leaning menu. The restaurant is decorated in classic Hollywood vibes and is situated in the lobby of the famed Roosevelt Hotel. Cocktails were delicious and the bread was warm and fresh baked. For food we had: Charcuterie cheese board, the Shirley salad, a special, fall salad of persimmons and leeks, steak tatare, duck breast, French fries and brussel sprouts. Everything was prepared with super fresh ingredients and the flavors were all perfect. Unfortunately we were too full to eat dessert so the chocolate mousse will have to wait until the next time we are there....probably in a couple weeks. Add this to your list of Hollywood favorite restaurants and thank me later.

   I love food so I don't discriminate on food. Simple dish as the Ceasar salad was fresh and delicous to a richer, decadent, Beef Bourguignon that literally melted in your mouth were all delicous. Be daring. If too cautious the staff is more than willing to help.

   This is Old Hollywood at its best. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was magical. If you want to experience fine dining in Old Hollywood, this is the place.

   Went for Thanksgiving but was expecting their French menu which was not offered. Wish we would have known. We had our turkey the night before. Food was very good. Servers seemed to be rushed and appeared wishing they were someplace else. We hadn’t even had our drinks and the food was all on our table. Very nice place and I would return. Probably not for Thanksgiving though.

   Meal was barely warm. Everything was tasty but barely warm. We had iced tea and it was almost just colored water. When they brought out the apple pie for dessert it was still frozen. I said it should be warm and they said it is kept in the cooler. Out first time here and I’m guessing theirs for Thanksgiving as well just our experience

    Shirley Brasserie was a wonderful dining experience that paired the great atmosphere of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with great food. The Restaurant occupies a quiet part of the Lobby area and is large enough to find seating but intimate enough to feel separated from other diners. The menu is spartan but focused, as is the wine list. The appetizers we had were first-rate and handsomely presented. I would recommend the chicken liver mousse, as it was special and hadn't seen it elsewhere. I consider myself an expert on duck and generally prefer it roasted, as many restaurants don't really have the expertise to properly sear it. Not true here. The duck was properly spiced and glazed and seared just right. For this style of preparation, I've not had better. The Shirley Brasserie is not inexpensive, but considering the quality of the food and service (which was also outstanding), I would rate it as a good value. Something for a special occasion.
