We visited Simit last year and had a great experience - after returning this year we were not impressed at all. The food was marginal - they were out of the first item I chose so I ended up ordering the braised lamb which was tasty but not at all hot. My husband had a vegetable and rice dish which he enjoyed. The babaganoush was ok. The prices are quite steep for the portion size and we waited forever for our food to arrive with only a few other tables being filled during our visit. I would not justify paying those prices for the quality of our experience here.

We waited 45 minutes for our lunch despite the restaurant being half empty. The meat on our sandwich was very dry and tastless. The falafel apetizer was ok. We were not given more water or yogurt sauce as we requested. When we told our server about our displeasure with the sandwich she offered us a coffee or tea, which we declined. We have dined there in the past and it was great. Not sure we will be back anytime soon.

Food is always amazing very slow service. The restaurant has no ambience. Portions are sizes are smaller than normal. Paying $37.00 for a filet mignon kebab that was over cooked was not good.
