    This is a tough one to review. The view and ambience were outstanding. Our server was great! Other than the mussels (which were excellent) the food was not great and when I pay $300 for a meal for 3 people I want the food to be outstanding. It wasn’t. My salmon was overcooked and a little dry. One guest ordered the filet medium rare and said it was very good but again nothing to write home about. My other guest ordered the ribeye. It was not edible. It didn’t even look right with gristle all through the meat. He said it was so tough and chewy. We did ask to send it back which we hardly ever do. They did bring a filet in its place but it was so under cooked it was purple in the center. We ended up bringing most of it home. Our sides were very good and the wine was delicious. Overall it was a mediocre meal that cost a lot of money. We decided it would be a good spot for an afternoon cocktail and drinks. I don’t think we’ll ever be back for dinner. That’s pretty said because it’s an institution that has been there since the 70’s. Maybe it was just a bad night.

    My stepbrother and I took our mother from the home to to Simms steakhouse for Christmas....she had a wonderful time as she had remembered days gone by at the restaurant. Service was impeccable!

    Our server was great. The food was really good. The only complaint is that the ahi tuna was not sesame crusted like the description says and it was overcooked. Steak was excellent.
