   We haven’t been to Simpsons for a long time but returning was a good move. The tasting menu was really excellent. Probably one of the most delicious meals we have ever had. The best course was a cod dish in a very mild but delicious chilli sauce accompanied by spinach in a goats cheese sauce. Sounds unappealing but in fact really exceptional. Service friendly but not overly so. All in all a great experience. Thank you.

   We dined at Simpsons as a family for my sons 18th birthday. Such a gorgeous experience. The food and service is exceptional. The card and chocolates for my son made it particularly special. He is autistic so this was a perfectly discreet amount of fuss for him. He really loved it, we all did. Thankyou for a lovely experience.

   Celebrating my niece's eighteenth birthday at Simpsons was a delightful return to a culinary haven I've cherished for three decades. My journey with Simpsons began in its Kenilworth incarnation when I was eighteen, and I've been a loyal supporter ever since, following its evolution to Birmingham and enjoying countless special occasions, including the Eureka Cooking School, Antona at Home, and most recently, Soko. This visit was a testament to the consistently exceptional standards I've come to expect. From the warm welcome at the front of house to the impeccable attentiveness of the serving team, we felt genuinely valued and meticulously looked after. We opted for the prestige menu, and I was blown away by the plant-based offering. The creativity and depth of flavour were extraordinary, with a fascinating array of superfoods woven into each dish. The signature beetroot dish, in particular, was an absolute masterpiece – a testament to the kitchen's artistry and innovation. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our experience. The celebratory card and the exquisite Soko chocolates were a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch, adding an extra layer of warmth to the occasion. Simpsons continues to be a shining example of fine dining done right. It's where culinary excellence meets genuine hospitality, creating an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a long-time admirer like myself or a first-time visitor, I wholeheartedly recommend Simpsons for any special occasion or an extraordinary dining experience.

   Service was very hit and miss. Initially we were left waiting a long time for drinks , then service at the table was rushed at times , having not finished one course before the next one arrived then we were left waiting for pudding to arrive . Our waitress was very abrupt and gave minimal information about the food we were eating . We overheard another waiter who gave much more information. For a Michelin star restaurant service wasn’t good enough. It felt as if they couldn’t really care and maybe as the building is up for sale they don’t.

   Good evening Celia, Many thanks for your time in giving feedback on your recent visit. I’m sorry to see that you felt the service was not to your liking. Our young waitress you refer to has been with us a matter of weeks and is working alongside a more experienced member of staff whilst in training, this would be why her dish description may not be as full as others. With regards to your final comment, I want to assure you that, despite the business being for sale, our team are dedicated to providing excellent hospitality for our guests and the suggestion that we “couldn’t care less” is far from the truth.    Absolute a stunning experience!! The beetroot was an amazing trip through different textures and taste. Will definitely come back for an other stunning experience. Many thanks to Chef Luke.

   Valentines dinner was an experience not just a meal. The cooking was outstanding but the attention to detail was what made the whole meal so memorable. It was also great to meet the new head sommelier Tom who was very engaged and knowledgeable Expensive but worth it!

    I had the pleasure of taking my partner to Simpsons for her birthday dinner, and I wholeheartedly recommend the experience. The food was exceptional, and the staff were both highly professional and knowledgeable. The wine selection was excellent, and the thoughtful gesture of a birthday card and chocolates was greatly appreciated. We left the restaurant with genuine satisfaction and look forward to returning in the future.
