Having established Manka's as one of the top 50 hotel restaurants in the country, the owners have moved down the road - to the corner of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Star Route One. They've revitalized Hotel Olema and a new restaurant within it: Sir and Star. Its tables groan with the best of West Marin. Guests are invited to enjoy a nibble and sip or a lingering meal of foods and wines from within reach. It will quickly become apparent that the stewards of this elegant old roadhouse so love where they live and live to celebrate all that grows, swims and is crushed within their midst.

We attended the weekend small bites tasting menu and were not disappointed. The ambiance was wonderful. Our wait staff were top shelf. And the food is in an ethereal realm no one can challenge.

my fish and my wife's quail were over salted and the quail was a bit too greasy. my wife wanted to order another glass of wine but the waiter never checked in for her to do it. finally she did at desert time.

Excellent food, and interesting menu. Waitstaff was very good with our large party, including children, and vegetarian/gluten-free diners. Lighting is a bit dark - need tea lights on the table so food is easier to see. otherwise, have always loved this location, even under the previous management.

The Saturday chef's menu was outstanding. The food was perfectly prepared and the parings were excellent. The portions were just right. The service and ambience could not have been better. One of the best dining experiences we've ever had in the Bay Area or elsewhere.

We thoroughly enjoyed my birthday dinner at Sir and Star. Of all the times that we have eaten there, this menu was definitely my favorite.
