   After making and confirming a reservation by phone the day of, we showed up before a show to a very long line only to be turned away by the host being told that their system was broken and they shouldn’t have taken our reservation. We had no other dinner options and with two hungry kids it was very disappointing after making a reservation. We were also told that a take out order would take 45 minutes- they were taking to go orders from ppl who didn’t even have reservations that they weren’t honoring. They should have only been taking those orders from ppl with reservations and turning ppl away without reservations. That way they could have served customers who thought we would have been able to have dinner before a show. Instead I had two very hungry pre teens who had to eat candy for dinner.

   I really wanted to like the creamy pesto pancetta pistachio pizza. Unfortunately, the burrata, although tasty, was cold, as was the pizza . The pancetta was in stringy strips and the pizza was incredibly oily. On our way out, there were three pizzas just sitting on the counter. Hmmm. How long?

   The restaurant wasn’t very busy at the time we went, so it’s hard to judge what the noise level would be if they were full. It’s a cute place with delicious pizza and very helpful and accommodating staff. We had a very nice time!

   Good pizza! Could have been cooked a little longer. Pricey for what you actually get. Paid $17.50 for a 6 inch pizza. Service was great!

   The food was good but a little on the expensive side for the amount you received. Service was excellent.

   Thank you so much for the feedback. We are a scratch kitchen which means we make everything in house. There are a lot of time and effort that go into our delicious food! We also use premium ingredients like imported prosciutto and cheese for example and unfortunately, with rising food cost, we do our best to price it out appropriately.    The room we were sat in was very humid, uncomfortably so. I asked the server for a side of Gorgonzola cheese, he forgot, then I reminded him and he brought me shaved Parmesan. When I tried to get his attention, I never could, so I just gave up. The food quality was less than the other Slyce locations. Definitely will be sticking with Highland Park’s Slyce.

   We really loved our pick of restaurants in the area. It is in the Embassy Suites Hotel. We were staying on the other side of this large hotels and entertainment complex near O’Hare. We were able to walk through the large parking garage from Aloft Hotel to the restaurant without getting wet in a downpour. The entertainment district looked like a lot of fun and was definitely happening on this Saturday night. The restaurant wasn’t busy; I think it is new. The salad with prosciutto and shaved parmesan, bread and goat cheese app, and coal oven fired pizza with pancetta, burrata, and pistachios were all five stars. Small list of wines by the glass with familiar, but tasty wines.

    Pizza was excellent. Server was great. Only disappointment was they did not mark my reservation as attended when I made them aware of my reservation upon arrival.
