    My wife and I went here for our anniversary and the food, service and experience were amazing! They reserved my wife and I a private table in the corner of the restaurant. This was our first time dining here. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, she had their orange crush and I had their cranberry mule that were very good. The atmosphere was very beautiful. One of the best experiences that we had was our waiter and the host right when you walk in the restaurant. Our waiters name was Noah if I recall and he was outstanding! He was professional, respectful, his timing was perfect and our food come out in a timely fashion. My wife had their ribeye steak with grilled shrimp and I had their calabash flounder and let me tell you it was excellent! If you are looking for a romantic, quiet, one on one conversation with you significant other or family Smithfield Station is it! Also, they sat us right now to their indoor fireplace which was very romantic, homey and made us feel even more comfortable. All of their staff their were extremely friendly and it was just the perfect date night that my wife and I were looking for. I wanted to thank the staff and owners of Smithfield Station for making my wife and I’s anniversary date night so special! We will return for sure!

    Whelp, I wanted to try this place and I really wanted to like it considering where it’s situated and the reviews I had seen. It failed me. The food was a solid no. My wife and I shared a pecan and pear salad. The pear was so hard I couldn’t cut through it. I had the Chilean sea bass and shrimp special and my wife had the crab cakes entree. The only thing special about my Chilean sea bass was how cold the meat was when it finally came out. The fish was overloaded with sauce and I found at least four pieces of shrimp shell that were not removed. The crab cakes were lukewarm and apparently were voted best in the area, but I can tell you that’s not what we received. I recently purchased some from Wegman’s and they were 10x better than what we paid $34 for at Smithfield Station. The restaurant had seated a 20-person table right before us which caused major delays on dinner coming out. The waitress did a great job letting us know this after we had ordered and waited a bit. If the restaurant knows a group this size is coming, they need to be more prepared. Overall, just a flop of a dining experience.

    We went on Valentine’s Day for a 7:30 pm reservation. Honestly we have low expectations on holidays. They were 100% on top of their game! We were seated promptly even though reception area was packed. The staff did a great job. Our wait times for beverages, appetizers and entrees were very reasonable. Also seafood platters did not disappoint. They did a great job managing a very busy holiday dinner. Reservations are a must for holidays. Love the Open Table app.

    We arrived to a lobby full of folks waiting on tables. The manager and front desk person were scrambling to make things happen and the bar was the only place left to wait. Sadly we had to keep reminding the staff that we were in the bar waiting, and after the third reminder we were told that we finally had a table, 45 minutes after our reservation. Our server was very good, but the appetizer was not impressive and came out with the meal, which was tasty but nothing to write home about. Overall, it was an okay experience but not the intimate quieter dining we had hoped for, and the staff was overtasked and flustered by the immense crowd.

    My sister and I had Valentines Day dinner. We ordered the crab egg rolls for a starter and at $14.00 it was very scimpy. We both had the shrimp tacos and key lime pie for desert. I had two old fashioned drinks and I don’t know what the cost will be until the bill comes. It’s different every time, it seems it just what the current bartender wants to charge.

    Great food and service. It was our first time visiting and we were first taken to an area without a view, but we asked if we could sit in area near water and waitress accommodated us with what appeared to be best seat in the house without hesitation.
