   Food was excellent, service was patchy. Too many staff talking to each other instead of paying attention to guests. Too, half an hour to get the bill. They said they had a new ‘system’ and it was a nightmare. Train your staff on the new system so the guest experience isn’t impacted

   I dine at Smoking Lobster atleast fortnightly. The service and food are always impeccable. This is unequivocally the best restaurant on the Isle of Wight. The food is super vibrant, the flavours always inspired and service is totally dedicated. Whether you’re looking for a lowkey mid week lunch or an impress-your-guests weekend dinner, this is the place for you!

   The main food was delicious, the only complaint we had was with the doughnuts for desert, they tased so oily they were inedible. Cocktails were delicious, although I would like to see some fruitier less bitter options. Whiskey selection was brilliant.

    Superb meal. Amazing service, staff were so friendly and very helpful with great recommendations. We had a lovely rare meal out just the two of us with no children. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was divine!
