   This restaurant is a real gem. The menu gives you the option to order from a selection of small plates, which provides a variety for the taste buds. Alternatively, those who prefer a more traditional meal can order from the starter and main menu. Whichever option you choose, the food will be wonderful. My children just love the Katsu Maki Rolls, noodles, and pork belly. The service was wonderful as usual; attentive and caring, but also giving you space to enjoy the experience. Location-wise, it couldn't be better – you are right on the waterfront. The sun shone for us, which was lovely. Highly recommend. Although we didn't have it this time, the lobster and chips looked so wonderful! We will be back.

   Cudos to the chef for his well planned and prepared fusion menu showcasing seafood at its best. The view across the beach is a bonus and the sun was shining so a perfect lunch all round

   The original Smoking Lobster is still our favourite, perfectly placed on Ventnor seafront. Tonight’s meal was a selection of small plates, each one stunning in flavour. This is where British cuisine should be headed - a fusion of international flavours that make the most of local ingredients. The Iberico pork and the carpaccio of pineapple were the stars tonight.
