The red beans and rice and ettoufee dishes has good flavor but were barely warm. The crème brûlée was tasty but the top was granular and not the normal carmelized sugar we expected.

Friendly, fun wait staff. Casual, welcoming space. Decent food for the price. Small portion size.

The food and service were great. Only rating 4 stars overall instead of 5 because the music was sooo bad. The music venue is very intimate (and crowded) but the artist (Brazilian Love Songs by Sasha Masakowski) was terrible. We left after 3 songs, complete waste of money. You do not get the show with dinner, you must buy tickets for that, and line up to enter the music area after dinner. Overall, we heard that the music there is normally really good. But not last night. Excellent service by the server who takes care of you inside the music area. After we left we walked down Frenchman St and stopped in to 5-6 music spots/bars and had a BLAST and heard some amazing music. Overall good food and a great area to be in New Orleans for music, just be careful of the artist before you pay.

First night in NO. Food was amazing. I had Grilled Lamb chops but mashed potatos were lacking. GF had pork chops with mashed sweet potatoes and spinach. Salad and seafood gumbo were great starters. Took a while to get drinks. Shouldn’t be that difficult to pour wine and grab a cold can of beer. Overall food was great, atmosphere was great. Live jazz in the club could be heard from all tables in the building w/o having to buy the ticket to enter. Great atmosphere and food.

The food was middle of the road. The drinks and service were fantastic! But, the MUSIC was the best part of the night! All in all, I would 100% recommend and would go again!

If you’re coming for the music making a dining reservation doesn’t get you a see in the concert room. We were first timers and didn’t know that. Concert admission was $35/ person. We had wine which was reasonable priced. For dinner we had the shrimp and grits app which was amazing! Then we split the sampler with jambalaya red beans and rice and étouffée. The étouffée was very good, the red beans and rice was good and the Jambalaya was too dry. Like it was heating all day and had dried out. We’ve tasted better Jamaal’s and red beans and rice on this trip but the étouffée and shrimp and grits were worth the money. We weren’t feeling it for the band that was playing so we didn’t get tickets for them but it was a fun visit.

Food and drink were quite good mostly. Salmon was raw in the middle, but that may have been on purpose. I’d rather have my cooked salmon COOKED, and my raw salmon raw. The main problem is that we had a reservation at 8pm and Sat down then because we had tkts to a show there at 9:30, and we didn’t get our food until 9:10! So we didn’t get to enjoy it since we had to rush to get in to the show

We arrived early for our booking. Getting a drink at the bar took around twenty minutes as there was only 1 grumpy bar maid on duty; probably grumpy because she needed some help. She did not endear herself to me when having waited 20 minutes she asked who was next, so I gave her my order. She then asked the lady next to me if she was here before me 🤷🏼. I am British (we invented queuing and love nothing better than a fair queuing system) and would never try and jump my turn. Thanks to the lady next to me that promptly asserted that I was indeed next; not a great look to indirectly accuse your guests of lying. The maitre de meanwhile was certainly not overly busy. We were shown to our table and just before the food arrived they switched the aircon on right above us. We asked to be moved to one of the other many tables and were promptly moved into the bar area under yet another aircon vent. A number of other visitors also came and sat down near us and promptly moved as it was that cold. Not sure if this is going to be visible to other customers but if it is please note the two layers of seats near the windows are the cold ones. The food however was very nice indeed, once the correct dish had been received for me. It would have been nice to have had both our meals at the same time though rather than watch each other eating. Our server, Davey I think ?, was however spot on though and a really nice guy; thank you Davey!
