   We love Sol Bistro. The owners are so kind. The only reason I gave a 4 for value is that it’s a special place and not somewhere most folks can do on a regular night out. We reserve it for special occasions. It’s well worth it. It’s the only time I get a high quality bread basket.

   This was the second time I ate at Sol. The first visit was a great experience, and I was so excited to return with out-of-town family the following month. We arrived 15 minutes early and despite having several open tables, we were asked to sit outside and wait until our reservation time. We were seated right next to the hostess stand. Ron, the owner shared that they were one person short on staff that night, so that's why he would be waiting tables rather than working in the back. Everything was great until other tables started to fill up. However, charging $53 for a $10.50 common (not rare) bottle of prosecco (which shouldn't be more than 2-3 times more than retail) is outrageous and frankly insulting. We ordered dinner and couldn't decide between wines. Ron was generous and offered us tastings of a chianti vs. pinot noir to help us decide. From then on, we never saw him again until he offered to bring us our check. We never got to select the wine and in fact, ate the entire dinner with no liquid (the water was empty too). The busser stated that we needed to talk with our server. Every time our server passed our table (which was a lot!), he never looked in our direction despite my husband continuously raising his hand to try to catch his attention. When our plates were removed, another server (who was very friendly) offered to fill up our water. I regret tipping at all that night. My family was looking forward to this night out, I had been talking Sol up for a couple of weeks, and then we left with a dry throat, and a $400 dent in our wallet. I really want this restaurant to succeed because I believe that the recipes are authentic, wholesome, and one-of-a-kind for allergy sufferers. The couple of times that I have interacted with the owners; they seem likable and genuine, but they must do better to sustain. Better price your alcohol and please check on your customers regularly throughout the evening. Otherwise, people will go elsewhere or prefer to stay home.

   Love, Love, Love! This is the place to enjoy a fancy dinner and drinks without harmful seed oils, GMOs, or other contaminants. The grass fed beef, fresh caught fish, soups, and vegetables are amazing every time. The owner has Celiac and she is serious about having a great meal without the side effects of the cheap ingredients. We are super thankful for this place in St Petersburg, Florida! Additionally, 3 Daughter's Brewery is a 20-step walk across the parking lot to hang out with friends!

    My husband and I visited Sol for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful time. The owner was our server and we could feel his passion for what they served. The food was delicious, fresh and unique - we enjoyed every bite immensely. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
