Highly recommend this restaurant! It’s something unexpected and different. Treat yourself to a lovely night out in a beautiful setting. All the tapas were on point, if you order the paella allow for at least 40 minutes so order it when you sit down.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Sol Y Sombra! Our group of six decided to sample a variety of tapas—I think we might have ordered the entire menu—and every single dish was fantastic. The flavors were incredible, and each plate was a work of art. The staff was absolutely outstanding— Super friendly, and knowledgeable. And the chef? Wow! Her talent truly shines in every dish. I can’t say enough about this place. The atmosphere, the food, the service—everything was perfection. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable hidden gem of a dining experience.

My friend and I had a lovely first dinner at Sol y Sombra on a quiet weekday evening. The ambience was spectacular and we sat in front of a roaring fireplace as we enjoyed many many tapas plates and shared the paella. We were thrilled that bottles of wine were on special for 1/2 off that evening. The service was lovely. Our only criticism was that they placed a large group of six plus people in the same room, directly next to us, despite there being an empty adjacent room next to us and us having two different servers. It just made our conversation more difficult as everything became much noisier in the room.

Great experience overall. The garlic shrimp tapas and the cucumber tomato salad were both exceptional. They were changing menus so the only entree options were paella, even though the menu listed steak and fish. The seafood paella was ok, but I wouldn't order it again. The chicken empanadas were also ok. Dessert was like a beignet with chocolate drizzle. There were 5 pieces so we took 3 home for breakfast. Wait staff was great

This is my fifth time here, and always had a great experience UNTIL today. My two friends ordered Paella and I ordered the Branzino. We know their fantastic paella takes 40 minutes to cook..and they’re up front about it. After waiting 30 minutes two paella arrived, my brazino did not. It was not until then I was told they were out of branzino. They offered to comp any dish I wanted, but they have a limited entree which is mostly paella….which we didn’t want to wait 30 -40 minutes. Also we wanted coffee, but their expresso machine is broken. Again, always had great experience at this place, but I do hope they can revisit their service and make this a great restaurant that it deserves

Our server was Cecilia-she was amazing. Our paella was wonderful and they have a great wine list and tasty sangria. The Basque cheesecake was really creamy and good. We sat outside by a water feature. Just lovely. This is a local gem that you must try! Really nice staff and super enjoyable experience.

They Ambience was nice and quiet. It started off well. The appetizers were good. We got to the main course, which was what I came for. The seafood Paella. I was disappointed. The rice was undercooked and the flavor was underwhelming. I was really looking forward to it but unfortunately for the price it was definitely not worth the $165 dinner I paid for.
