   Generally very good but today not so much. Service was very slow the place wasn't too busy but it took ages to get a drink never mind food which was prorderd. Let's say the staff need a little more motivation we arrived at 12.15pm and left after 3pm if you ask me too bloody long for lunch. Asked for dessert menu 20 mins later had to ask a member of staff if they were actually gonna ask if we were gonna order.

   We probably picked the wrong night to go as there were lots of large tables in for a meal so had to wait over an hour for our food. Service was very slow, no - one came to check if we wanted drinks and if we caught someone’s attention to order something, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. All 4 of our chairs were uncomfy, felt like the springs had gone Some of the meal was missing and they had run out of sauce for the salmon. That said the food we did have was good.

   have been here no end of times and normally really good! arrived today for lunch as finished work early ended up leaving after 40 mins of not even been asked if we wanted drinks or taking our food order. really gutted as we where really looking forward to it. i understand it’s christmas time but unfortunately if you don’t have the time or staff just don’t accept the booking. the staff where very friendly by what we seen. but they just didn’t come over to us. attended to the big tables instead.

   Unfortunately it was only a set Christmas menu which we were not aware of It was over priced for the 2 courses The carvery was ok but very little meat. The cheesecake was poor and was drenched in unpleasant sauce. Disappointing and poor value for money

   Beautiful carvery enjoyed by all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money too.

   The carvery is the best we have had with excellent produce used and a brilliant variety of vegetables. The meat is expertly prepared and plentiful. The only downside is the cost and felt it was slightly overpriced and had certainly increased for the Xmas period - same food , same service should equal same price as a few weeks previously.

   This was the best carvery I have had in a long time. Staff were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. And the food was amazing. I will definitely return

   Not as dog friendly as it used to be, can only now sit in the bar area if accompanied with a dog and there's 3 small tables which is ashame. Other than that was fairly decent.

    Was very impressed. When booked was unaware it was festive menu only. Bit expensive but hope to return next year for normal carvery.
