Soothr, properly pronounced “Sood” is the Thai word meaning “Recipe”. This East Village establishment is the vision of close friends who grew up in different regions of Thailand, hoping to share their experiences and recipes with the rest of the world. Raised in distinctive regional cities, each individual brings their own unique relationship with Thai cuisine, with a specific focus on the generational family recipes that have shaped their childhood and time growing up in Thailand. With a specialty in family noodle recipes from throughout Thailand, Soothr offers a culinary experience that is geared towards the comfort and warmth of dining at home. These traditional recipes have brought great comfort and a sense of home for generations, and Soothr at its core is an invitation to sit at the table and enjoy a classic, Thai family meal.

    Incredible Thai food unlike any other Thai food I have had personally. I had the Chicken Khao Soi noodles which were absolutely incredible. They have a pretty limited vegetarian menu but what they do have is also very very good. The value for the food at a Michelin star restaurant is unparalleled.

    the food was amazing. the service was good but just a bit slow, but they were quite crowded so that's expected - the servers were very nice and helpful.

    Great food no doubt, but if you are annoyed by waiters coming and telling you every 5 minutes that’s it’s time to leave then you may consider twice before going here. At check in they tell you that you have 90’minutes and then the staff comes and reminds you that you have 15 mins left, you have 10 mins left, now you only have 5 mins left no matter whether you have food on your table or not. They just want you out and turn over the tables and it doesn’t matter if you wanna order another round of drinks and stay a little bit more

    The food was very good, the place is crammed and it is a bit rushed as you only get 90 min to enjoy your meal so it’s more a sit down , order (best if you already checked at home what you might want) eat and leave. Menu is just on a QR code- I would prefer an actual paper menu.
