   This is a really fun place to go. We enjoyed having our food delivered by a conveyor belt and a robot named Steve. It was definitely different. The food however, was just OK. Two of us went we had a starter, the Space balls, and the special of the night, which was a steak and fries. The Space Balls were good, the rest was subpar. Our bill was $120 for two people before the tip. I really wanted to love this restaurant, but the food just wasn’t what I expected.

   The ambience was good, very cute plate. The parking lot is ridiculously small. The robot serving food and drinks was cool, however, my food came out of order. Got my side before my appetizer. My husband and I both ordered steak, he got his a good 10 minutes before mine. Mine was not cold but not hot either. Well cooked with good taste though. Very overpriced and small menu selections.

   If there was a restaurant that encapsulated the best of Austin, including food, service, cocktails, ambiance, and just that splash of weirdness, this is it. Space Cowboy is a regular spot for me, and it is a must-hit if anyone is in town visiting. The food is outstanding (I could live off Space Balls), and the concept is one of the most fun things in this city. There is nothing bad on the menu (either food or drink), and the ability to share a meal while bots like Dave, Stuart, and Bob ensure that you're taken care of is perfect. So stop reading, hit that "reserve button," and find your new favorite spot.

   The interior is fun, I like the theme a lot! The staff were all very friendly and attentive, especially my lovely server whose name I am struggling to recall but I know it started with an S. The wait time at one point (for dessert) was a bit (like solid 10-15 min), but I think that was mostly from a miscommunication. One thing though is that I was disappointed the dish I was most interested in trying (the cowboy sliders) wasn't available the day I went in, but that said, the flavors of what I did have were quite good. I've had a lot of ceviches in and around Austin at this point so I am a bit hard to impress; the seafood ceviche here is really tasty but in my opinion the portion size was too small for price (and there wasn't enough seafood in it -- it was quite veg heavy). They're doing an EXCELLENT job with spices/sauces though. The ube panna cotta dessert is what I was most impressed with -- lovely presentation, interesting flavors and textures, and very memorable! Overall, space cowboy is a restaurant that's quite out of the way relative to where I live and work which is also part of why my rating is a bit lower re: if I would recommend it. That said, if I were coming just for drinks and dessert I would've been more or less entirely happy so there's that.

    I thought this place would be better ): the service was good no complaints there but the food was just okay & honestly overpriced i feel ugly writing this because i really wanted to like it but it really just wasnt all that /:
