   Nothing special food wise and pricey for the quality. Hostess and waiter were less than friendly and definitely not helpful. Our waiter didn’t even introduce himself otherwise I would tell you to avoid him. Fairly loud and extremely busy but we weren’t bothered and it was expected. You definitely can get a tastier Italian dinner for less with great service in North Scottsdale.

   Spiga has always been one of our favorite restaurants, but we were disappointed on Christmas Eve. I realize that it was extremely busy, but the service was extremely slow and we didn't know that they offered a limited menu that evening and our favorite dishes were not available. We will be back, but not on a holiday.

   Noodles in the pasta dishes were overdone not al dente. Service felt rushed. Ossobuco did not include any natural gravy and the accompanying Risotto had an odd metallic flavor. Service seemed rush. Outdoor dining area was nice but tables were packed together. Not an upscale dining experience.

   We dine at Spiga several times a year, unfortunately this was a very uncomfortable experience. The restaurant was way over booked and the timing around the seating sequence was unbalanced. We were seated on time, but soon after is where everything else went wrong. Too many issues to list as the restaurant seemed to continually be stressed and in recovery mode. Food quality was way below standard and entrees took over an hour after first course was completed. We missed our church service due to these kitchen and service issues. Dining on Christmas Eve or even New Year’s Eve can be dicey if the restaurant places volume over a quality experience. I’m sure they did not earn future visits from those who dined this evening. Unfortunately, we might not be booking at Spiga again.

   My wife had the Grouper special that was disappointing, I had the Veal chop it was very good. The service was excellent. Desert was exceptional we had the chocolate Bouchan and loved it. We would go back to Spiga again, on a 0 to 10 we give it an 8.

   I’d love speaker, but I was surprised that at 11:30 on a Sunday. They don’t have a brunch menu. It was kind of weird. They only had the regular menu. That’s the only reason I gave them not the best review. What we did have was very good, but it just wasn’t really appropriate for lunch or brunch.

   What a phenomenal spot that never disappoints. The food is so delicious and anything you get will turn out perfect. We had Myrah as our waitress and she was so personable, so helpful and so kind. We couldn’t decide on a wine and she shared some input and helped us pick. I was torn on two pastas and she went above and beyond with the kitchen staff and surprised me with half portions of each. All staff here works together to check in on everyone and does it so seamlessly. The pastas are homemade daily and you can tell how fresh and phenomenal they are. My husband’s steak entree was perfection. Everything about this spot is so well done it’s impeccable.

   Our waiter Sy was non excited about serving us. He was very dry and never smiled. He seemed not to care in wanting us to have a good dining experience. Asked for bread twice and asked for water refills. Before we were barely done our desserts bus people were at our table clearing off plates. It felt very rude and like they were ready for us to leave. Our reservation was at 6:15 so it was only about 7:45 when it was clear they wanted us to leave. It was our 2nd visit and there won’t be a third. Btw, dining area was almost empty and I understand why.

    My husband and I visited on a Friday night and had 5:30pm reservations, as we were going to a show afterwards. Check in was quick and we were shown to a table on the patio. About half the tables were already full. I'm glad we didn't just choose to go for happy hour, as there were no seats to be had at the bar. The waiter was quick and knowledgeable about the menu. We knew we wanted the grilled octopus, which we mentioned, but the waiter should have waited to put that in until after we had ordered drinks. So, we had no wine with the appetizer course. This was the only misstep of the evening. Bolognese and tagliatelle with shrimp were both very good. Plentiful portions; decent price for the area. Waiter instantly moved a heater to our area when I mentioned I was chilly. Patio was very lively by the time we left. We'll definitely be back.
