   Outstanding, thoughtful, professional service and a beautiful 3 course dinner once again. The salad was styled as a small grass covered mountain with a bonsai tree at the top. My imagination? I think not! The 3 corner black and white striped ravioli was a treat as well. My poussin was gorgeously presented and delicious, as were the scallop and salmon entrees. As a native San Franciscan, IMHO, Spruce continues to be THE SF restaurant. It’s also not a solemn temple of gastronomic over-seriousness. Everyone is enjoying a great night out.

   Been to Spruce many times over the past decade and have to say I was disappointed. Hostess was not welcoming and sat us in a back corner when the restaurant was empty. Waiter was awesome, but food was not great. Small portions. The ravioli was not very good. Duck was good and my wife had salmon which was also good. Desert was. Of worth it and wish it was not part of the fixed menu. Atmosphere of this place has always been good, but doubt I will be going back.

   Made a reservation for a table, but the bar looked so inviting we had our lunch there . Great service from the bartender and the food was as delicious as my previous visit a few years ago .

   On the whole, this was a very enjoyable birthday lunch at Spruce. The service was attentive and professional, and I can't think of a more hushed and beautiful venue for celebrating a happy event. The food was generally very good, but I did have a few nits. The mousseline in the white asparagus appetizer was so salty that I couldn't taste the item. For the entree, we each had the butter lobster with homemade pasta. The fillings were so bland that I couldn't detect the flavors. But the complimentary dessert offerings were delicious and bursting with flavor.

   A great high-end restaurant. Prix fixe menu, expansive wine list, pretty room, and knowledgeable staff. Well worth dining here.

    The food was just ok. It looked fancy but the flavor left something to be desired. The service was very good. We were there for lunch. Dinner maybe better.
