   Spruzzo (on PCH near Zuma) has been part of the Bonann family for decades. When the Pac Pal Spruzzo opened, I had just moved two blocks away after years in Malibu. The staff there, from the busboys to the owner/manager, have been part of my extended family ever since. I can‘t cook any longer but I still enjoy entertaining my friends and family in this lovely space. Today, I had a table conference with a young student who lives close by. Even a 17 year old knew a great place when she saw it! Our roasted artichokes and bruschetta were perfect and so deliciously fresh. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table to say hello. ❤️❤️

   Happy hour offers some fun appetizer options and the drinks are a bargain Service tonight was fantastic

   Unfortunately, our visit to Spruzzo fell below expectations due to poor service and subpar food quality. The server didn’t introduce himself, making the interaction feel impersonal. Basic tasks like clearing bread plates and refilling iced tea or water were overlooked throughout the meal. We had to flag down other staff members because our waiter didn’t attend to us properly. Plates weren’t cleared promptly, and we were handed the bill prematurely without asking if we wanted anything else. The meal itself was also disappointing. None of the three people in our group could finish their pasta dishes (two pesto, one carbonara), as they were bland and poorly prepared. The baked salmon was the most disappointing—the skin was burnt, the fish dry, and it was smothered in a plain, unseasoned heavy cream sauce with chunks of mango that didn’t complement the dish. Overall, the food quality and service were well below what we expected, leaving us unsatisfied.

   It’s our go-to restaurant in Pacific Palisades! We love the food, the service, the ambience and it’s a mile from our house. We’re so happy they came to our neck of the woods! We love the Chinese chicken salad among many other things on their menu. Everything they make at Spruzzo is fresh, creative and delish!!!

   We sat on the deck at Spruzzo which was very nice with a beautiful view of the ocean. We had the Chicken piccata and a pork loin special which were disappointing. Although the beet salad was very good. The meals were just ok but not great. Next time we will go with a pasta dish which I had the first time I was there and it was very good, or pizza and salad. The venue was worth coming back and trying again. Also, our server Marcus was very personal and gave us very good service.

    The service was outstanding. The pizzas were delicious and a reason to come back. The spaghetti sauce was not to my liking but could be a personal taste issue. The past was cooked al dente and was very good and the turkey meatball was nicely done. I liked the sampling of the Alfredo I had and everyone else enjoyed their meal. The Blackout cake looked delicious but was dry and crumbly and we didn't finish it but the Tiramisu was very good and nothing was left uneaten from all those who ordered that dessert. Overall we enjoyed our meal and thought the service staff was outstanding, attentive, helpful, and courteous.
