Experience Stalactites, one of Melbourne's longest established & well known Greek restaurants. Owned and operated by the same Greek family since 1978, Stalactites has long become a Melbourne institution.

Open from 11am-late 7 days a week, Stalactites offers a Greek feast of home made dips, tasty giro souvlaki and chargrilled meats and authentic home made dishes from southern Greece.

Many Gluten Free Options, Vegan and Vegetarian dishes are available including souvlaki, dips and mains.

    From the time we entered, the owner Paris and his staff made us feel welcome. I loved the new look in the place, far more modern and appealing than my last visit some years ago under other owners. I did not like the experience back then but the experience this time under Paris's management is outstanding. Prompt service with a smile and the food was excellent. This is coming from an Australian of Greek heritage. I highly recommend it. Thank-you Paris and to your team. Paris even can outside when we left to thank us and wish us a nice day.

    With the service we received I am surprised they are still open. We had ordered the banquet and the food came out ok however when it came time for the dessert and coffee/tea that is when it went downhill, we waited over half an hour for boiled water teapots to arrive on our table to only see with my own eyes that they took the teapots from the table behind us and didn't even wash or put new water in. Then the tea we ordered was wrong. We had to ask 2 more times when some people's coffee were coming, when it came it was cold and disgusting. I spoke to the manager who didn't apologise for this terrible service that we received. I will never ever come back to this restaurant ever again. The worst service and I'll be spreading the word to everyone to not attend this restaurant. It's a shame as this restaurant has been open since 1978 and it seems with the new owners taking over it won't be long until it shuts down.

    If you're coeliac (or not) I can highly recommend Stalictites as a very safe place to eat. Food was so good.

    So glad we made a booking because the lineup outside was very long when we left dinner. Could not fault our experience. Our daughter living with Coeliac disease was in heaven, being able to confidently choose many things from the menu & knowing the staff had cross contamination in mind. We will be back next time we are in Melbourne.

    Great food, drinks and service. It is just a 2 minute walk to the Comedy Theatre, so is a perfect place to eat before a show
