Did the coffee tasting and smelling experience, and the person who did our coffee experience was amazing! Calvin knew his stuff and we had some amazing coffee samples, and learned about how to make coffee and where it comes from. 10/10 recommend, worth the $$ totally

Do not book a tour on Sunday, the tour is limited due to some parts being cleaned and shut down. Also, coffee tasting is nothing sophisticated, rather basic and unimpressive for the amount of money spent.

We were lucky to be the only people booked. Got a private tasting with the attention focused on us.

My husband and I did the Coffee Roasting & Tasting Experience, and it was underwhelming. As background, we are into specialty coffee and were hoping that the Starbucks Reserve collection could convince us that Starbucks is not all about commercialisation, and actually does care about the coffee quality. However, we were sorely disappointed. We started off with tasting of 3 coffees. The first one already let us down, it was a cold brew with vanilla syrup added. Who does this at a coffee tasting?? How can I taste the coffee itself when the vanilla syrup has masked the original taste? The next two coffees were with any syrup, but had been brewed with very little care (French press, with no care of brewing time). By the time we tasted them, it was definitely over-extracted and tasted bad. We then walked around the cafe for the touring part. Thankfully, we got to talk to the roaster for 5-10 minutes, and that was at least a little bit informative. However, as a roaster in the cafe itself, she had very little/no control of experimenting with the roasting process. She basically were given instructions by corporate HQ, and could only follow them, so that was slightly disappointing to hear. The rest of the tour went around the cafe, which was very crowded and not conducive for a group tour of 9 people. Food was better than expected, it met our expectations more than the coffee or the tour. Will not recommend this tour, or the Reserve coffee honestly, you can get much better quality of coffee at the many cafes in Seattle.

It honestly felt like a scam, we payed 45$ per person to sip a couple coffees which was a cool experience but our host really seemed like he was talking about random facts and didn’t know what he was talking out nessasarly. And then the whole tour everyone could hear the tour which made us really feel like we should have just come to visit and not pay for the tour. And to top of it they let someone in the private room while we were in there to look around at the stuff in the reserved room. Overall the place is cool but the experience is not worth it the slightest. I honestly want my money back but I’m not like that so I just won’t be coming nor suggesting that it to anyone

I ordered this experience for my coworker and was not very happy to find out that although I input my card information, he had to pay out of pocket. There should be a way to prepay for this so people are able to give this as a present. That being said, he did enjoy the actual experience, so my main issue is with the payment set up.
