    A great contemporary American dining with a spectacular view, Starfire does not seem like a restaurant on top of a retirement community. My guests enjoyed the Modelo green chile pork stew with green chili corn bread, and I had the grilled halibut sandwich with asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the service was excellent.

    This was our first time dining at Starfire. The view at lunchtime was beautiful, an unobstructed view to the southwest up to the northeast. We felt were dining in a fine restaurant and had to remind ourselves we were in a retirement community. Our server, Ed, was very attentive and friendly; his recommendations were excellent. The menu is short and contemporary. We had chips and salsa, grilled chicken sandwich with French fries, Modelo green chile pork stew with green chili corn bread, cherry ale short rib tacos with Brussels sprouts, and an IPA slow smoked pulled pork sandwich with onion rings, followed by a selection of desserts, egg nog crème brûlée, straciatella gelato, and bourbon apple crisp gelato. Everything was beautifully prepared and tasted great. I would definitely recommend Starfire.

    Would be nice if the giant screen TV on Christmas Eve (bar side) had been turned to a fire emblem or traditional Christmas tunes. The PHX Fox channel is not appreciated by all.

    Chef here is amazing. The depth of flavor developed in the seafood broth was to die for. Each seafood ingredient perfectly cooked. San Framcisco has nothing on this. Superb!
