   Food was okay. Drinks were better. Service wasn’t great. Server to server - as soon as she “greeted” us with a “want do you wanna drink” I was disappointed. I would never greet my table by asking what you want to drink - I’d at least ask how the table is doing- introduce myself. We got no heads up of any daily specials, never told us her name, never asked if we were there to celebrate ( which we were. My 7 year olds birthday). Again these are basic steps of service that servers should know. She never did a two bite check, if she had we would have ordered another round of drinks but she never came back. Once we were done, she immediately said she was bringing the bill and I had to stop her so my child could get dessert and I could get the drink I had been wanting to order for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately it was our first time here and we ended up going to The Keg for dessert because our server apparently just wanted us out. Also when we first got our bill it was $139 and after we applied the our CAA discount our bill went up to $149.. after the discount .. so that was even more annoying. Server said she forgot to charge for our kids ice cream but that was only $4.50 so I don’t know how our bill shot up $10 with an $8 discount .. as someone who works in the industry- it was disappointing at best. You’re better off just going to The Keg

   The menu was huge and they had a lot of different dining options… We were seated at a middle, high table and the restaurant was quite busy We would have preferred a quiet ambiance for dining and it seemed to serve a much younger (Millennial to Gen X) clientele -we’re Baby Boomers!

   Very comfortable and pleasant environment. Food was perfect, exactly how we ordered it. Service was very good, friendly and professional. We would definitely rerun for an afternoon lunch or dinner 😀

   Your veggie options are awesome. We reserved and specifically asked for a regular table. Ended up in a high top with a 90 year old. They told us to call next time as on line system isn’t great??? Service was super slow but food made up for it.

    I don't remember the last time we dined at State and Main. All I can say is that it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in such a long time. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and the value incredible, but the staff were just phenomenal. I wish I knew the name of the lady that took care of our table. She was truly the sweetest girl ever! If the restaurant reads this review and can provide her name, please tell her we said Thank you, it would mean so much to us. She made the experience that much better than it already was. Thank you State and Main for such an amazing family day out!!!
