I booked reservations online and we had a great lunch at State & Main today. Flatbread for my sister and steak salad for me. Both excellent! Our server Isaiah was attentive and very helpful with choices. Comfortable sophisticated atmosphere and really convenient location.

Great tuna poke. Pretty good French Dip. Pacific Rim bowl had egg noodles instead of rice. Service outstanding.

We were celebrating a wedding that took place that morning, and was surprised to see there was no attempt to make the meal memorable. When I booked it I mentioned the wedding, but no accommodation. I would have paid for flowers or something but nothing. It seems odd that you make the effort to understand if we’re celebrating something special and then do nothing about it.
