The hot stone steak was very good. However the prawn starter was very bland and barely cooked. I would have returned but it was a birthday dinner and I didn’t want to make a fuss. The staff were extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu. We felt very welcome. The key issue for us was that they do not have any toilet facilities on the ground floor. This really was a problem as my wife has severe mobility issues and would normally use a chair. But as we weren’t walking far she was using crutches. So to have to climb two sets of stairs was really difficult. If it hadn’t been a birthday surprise we would have walked out. I understood that the equality act says businesses must provide access to toilet facilities for all customers including disabled people and make adjustments where necessary. This wasn’t in evidence. We were visiting London on a weekend break and were so surprised to note how many hospitality buildings were not accessible. We were surprised your mayor permits this!! It must be very hard to be a disabled resident because as a tourist it was really bad.

The food and service were top notch. I started with the croquettes as an appetizer and got the 6 oz sirloin for my main. I also enjoyed the Chelsea in Blossom cocktail. This was the perfect pre-theatre meal and I highly recommend.

The pre-theatre menu is available till 6pm - and is good VFM. We had two courses and all went for the steak, which was delicious. The inclusion of a glass of wine or beer in the price was great. All extras are an additional charge - which a bit cheeky as nothing came with the steak. At £3 it was not a huge charge. I'd feel better if it was included as it felt a bit penny-pinching. Our server was terrific - she offered attentive and friendly service and was cheerful throughout. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! We got dinner after seeing Phantom of the Opera, it was so close and not at all touristy. The atmosphere was lovely, cozy, and sophisticated. The staff was so kind and helpful, and they even went above and beyond to work with me and surprise my husband with a dessert for his birthday! Highly recommend!!
