   So sad to be writing this review. I see the potential for the experience being great. The food was spot on. Rustic and flavorful. BUT…….the service suffered. I originally saw the mixed reviews so when I made the reservation, I wrote in the notes that we were sticklers on service and if we could get an experienced server since it was our anniversary. First…..we are sat next to the kitchen….door swinging every minute with food coming out…..not good but we let it go. Then……our server was not good……she tried…..but she was obviously busy somewhere else…..drinks empty….no one to take an order…..finally getting a wine order in but tracking it down half way through our meal so it wouldn’t arrive afterward. Worst part was the bill……..we both ordered a martini and it ended up being $29 each. When we questioned it, we were told that the olives and twist were extra…… It got sorted out and the ‘olive charge’ was removed but I still was shocked at paying more for a Martini here then at Waldorf Astoria. They did bring out a crème brûlée for our anniversary which was sweet….but the custard was runny and not set up at all…..it was the only food that wasn’t good but it is hard to send back a free dessert. Overall…..I saw the potential of the experience being good……it just wasn’t for us.

   The food was very good on our visit, and the singer was awesome. The only issue was that it took over an hour to get our food. Luckily, we were with friends and not in a hurry, but it was too long.

   Food was good however the service was weak as they unfortunately forgot to submit our dinner order and the waitress never acknowledged the mistake . Thankfully the chef did when he came to our table.

   We made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary as well as NYE. Our waiter Bacon was very attentive and let us know up front that since we were there on New Year’s Eve, the kitchen was busier than usual and we should expect a little longer wait for our food. I appreciated his approach of being up front about it! We got our appetizers in a timely manner, and had some drinks to hold us over while we waited for the main entrees and sides. Everything was delicious! We would definitely go back to celebrate again.

   We went for new year and it was amazing. We loved everything food was great. I had steak and lobster mashed potatoes. So good Recommend this place to everyone 👌
