Enjoy unapologetically authentic Thai food in the East End. All food is made from scratch by native Thai chef and James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas Benchawan Jabthong Painter.

Chef Benchawan and her husband—who also spend time in their Bangkok home each year—have painstakingly built out a restaurant that would fit into Bangkok’s hip Thong Lor neighborhood, but they have located it in Houston. Expect trendy Thai vibes, music, strong cocktails and an adventurous wine list to accompany Chef Benchawan’s acclaimed dishes.

When booking your reservation, all children—regardless of age—must be included in the head count. The largest party Street to Kitchen can accommodate is 6 people. If more than 6, you can arrange a private Thai tasting menu, including a minimum spend. Please contact us via email at eatthai@streettokitchen.org.

    We came to STK to celebrate my partners birthday, the hostess wished her which was very nice. The food was amazing, with some solid vegan options, the service was great and would def come back. No surprise it’s on the Michelin Guide The only embarrassing thing that I feel I have to mention is that we had a couple who was sitting at the table next to us also celebrating a birthday, who was wished by there server and also given a candle in there dessert, which was very thoughtful and looked forward to. After that couple left we had another couple sit down at that same table also celebrating a birthday, they were wished by there server and was given complimentary glasses of champagne. We had finished dessert at this point and my partner had not even been wished HB. Normally we wouldn’t care or expect it but to have two couples celebrating their birthday directly next to us given glasses of champagne while she wasn’t acknowledged had us leaving upset. We mentioned it to our hostess on the way out, which she apologized for and STK did reach out in Open Table offering 2 glasses of champagne very quickly to be fair but free booze wasn’t why we were upset but the apology was appreciated. Unfortunately the memory was made but hopefully won’t be our lasting impression for a restaurant that has great service and food we still plan to revisit.

    WOW! Just an amazing experience - from the waiter helping us order correctly - visiting with the lead teams - the food itself - stunning wine list - lovely and approachable! excellent - and will be back!

    Jackie our server was wonderful and excited about sharing the menu. Spice level recommendations were on point!! Beautiful zen like atmosphere. We will definitely go back!!

    It’s a confirmation of what we all know about Street Kitchen, absolutely the best in the City and The State. Brought my wife in and we can’t stop raving about this beautiful place.
