Enjoy unapologetically authentic Thai food in the East End. All food is made from scratch by native Thai chef and James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas Benchawan Jabthong Painter.

Chef Benchawan and her husband—who also spend time in their Bangkok home each year—have painstakingly built out a restaurant that would fit into Bangkok’s hip Thong Lor neighborhood, but they have located it in Houston. Expect trendy Thai vibes, music, strong cocktails and an adventurous wine list to accompany Chef Benchawan’s acclaimed dishes.

The largest party Street to Kitchen can accommodate is 6 people. If more than 6, you can arrange a private Thai tasting menu, including a minimum spend. please contact us via email at eatthai@streettokitchen.org Thai tasting menus can also be made available for smaller parties if confirmed at least one week before via the same email.

    Had a great birthday lunch with a friend. The lunch tasting menu was a fantastic way to sample a few courses, each of which was really tasty. Will definitely be back.

    Although the service was good, the flavor was merely average. Having tasted authentic Thai dishes in Asia, I believe this food wouldn't even match the street food quality in Thailand.

    First time back since they moved in Nov 2023. Considerably more upscale than attached to a gas station.....lost some of that charm as a hole in the wall gem. Outstanding food and service. Owner came by for a chat, server was wonderful and helpful in describing the menu items. Congrats on the Bib Gourmand recognition. It will be difficult going back to my usual Thai places for a while.

    The waitstaff were wonderful. The owner came over and guided us through the menu. Food was incredible. The whole branzino is a must have. We will be going back.
