   Love it! The Study Hall has a great ambience, the drinks are well crafted and the Brussels sprouts are excellent! Go here for a casual & visual celebration 🥂🎂

   Strike 1: When I arrived at the restaurant at 4:57 pm for my 5 pm reservation, the host asked me "do y'all wanna be seated now?" which was SUPER unprofessional in my opinion. not just how he asked but yes. I do want to sit at the time of my reservation. Strike 2: I waited 10 minutes at the table without being greeted or offered water by my waitress. She took our drink order and then we didn't see her again for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I'm watching the table who was sat AFTER us get their drinks & food before I ever got my first beverage. Strike 2.5: I had to flag down ANOTHER waitress to complain about being there 30 minutes without a drink. She said "Sunday's are just a bad day to come." like I didn't realize the service i get is dependent on the day i come? She then proceeded to get my order wrong. I ordered the garlic parmesan truffle fries, and i got regular. AND ITS SUPER HARD TO FIND MY WAITRESS OR ANY OTHER SERVICE STAFF FOR THAT MATTER. Strike 3: The food was absolutely garbage. The spinach artichoke dip was underseasoned, the wings were skimpy, and it took us ANOTHER 30 minutes to get a 2nd round of drinks. Won't be returning. So many better rooftops in the area. This place is definitely for people who haven't worked in the service industry and don't know the difference between good and bad service. Maybe if I don't come on a Sunday it'll be better? but that just shows a lack of standards across the board.

   This restaurant is a delightful place to watch the sunset, enjoy the view of Berkeley from above, and have a pleasant meal. A perfect place to take out-of-town guests to introduce them to the delights of Berkeley!

   Waiter was forgetting our requests for things like extra napkins. Took substantial time between our food and beverage requests. The bartenders were quick but the orders weren’t getting in. Not the usual experience for this place.

   I really enjoyed visiting. The food was excellent. The only thing that was an issue for me was how loud the music was inside. Initially I was sat inside and my table was very close to the table, it made it hard to hear the person I was eating dinner with. I did ask to be moved outside and luckily a couch was available for us. The view was amazing and the music wasn’t too loud outside. I enjoyed it and would definitely come back. I really enjoyed the fish n chips and the truffle fries. Please consider lowering the volume of the music inside a tad. The customer service was excellent. The staff were very accommodating.

   I was excited to try this restaurant after a long day including travel. It looked lovely onfish tacos that were line, and most importantly the published menu had multiple tasty sounding gluten free items. For someone with celiac, that is a big win, and makes even a hotel a destination. Fortunately for my health, our server was honest. She asked if there were food allergies, and I affirmed that celiac was an issue and I was so excited to have a nice meal. That's when she said my menu was wrong. All wrong. No pizza. No other food. I could have salad. Salad. Or grilled fish tacos. They had no fryer for GF. Anything made gf would be cross contaminated. No guarantee the tacos would be safe with seasonings. I had two glasses of wine (4 0z). My daughter had a Diet Pepsi. She had edamame and a burger. I had fish tacos with zero seasoning. Our tab was $106.00. If you are not a person with celiac you might love this place. Going for drinks on the deck? Spectacular. If you are looking here for a GF menu, go to Target, buy frozen meals, and use the micro in your hotel room.

    Love Study Hall but this night was a miss for service. We made a 515 reservation for a 7 PM show at the Greek. It was busy, but not more than I’ve seen it in the past. My sense was that the restaurant was understaffed. We placed our drink orders and food orders at the same time after the server told us that the kitchen was backed up. Even so, we didn’t get our drinks until 615- it seemed pretty clear the order wasn’t placed or got lost. Our food came out before our first round. After that, it was sort of a mad rush to get out of there in time for the show. Note to servers- get drinks to tables by any means necessary. Still a nice night but a bit of a bummer.
