   We hadn’t been in close to a year and last couple times we’d been at the bar for dinner. This time we sat in the main dining area to celebrate my son’s birthday. The place was packed and we were seated 30-40 min AFTER our reservation time. They were apologetic and offered us a couple of free appetizers for the inconvenience. That was nice for sure. But from then on, the service dragged on. Waters weren’t filled and dinner entrees took extremely long to come out. My husband and sons are big steak eaters. It was my son’s bday so we allowed him to get the $100 Tomahawk and he said it was good. My husband had the Cajun ribeye and said it was just ok. Other son had the NY strip and he said it was ok. Didn’t love it. We only ordered 2 sides to share and one was the asparagus that were soggy and mushy. Definitely must have been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. At $430 (including 2 free apps and one free bday dessert, plus only 2 alcoholic drinks) this was way too much for food and service that were just ok. I think these places are made for corporate diners because it hurts to much to pay that kind of money for just okay.

   DW was fantastic. Had a large group and he could not have been more attentive to detail. Lobster and steaks were excellent. Wine list was short but well appointed.

   The quality of food has decreased and the food portions have definitely gone down. Jen (I think one of the managers) was a delight though :)

   First time dining at Sullivan’s. Service was excellent. Steak was cooked to the correct temperature, but it was only warm, not hot like it was fresh off the grill. The side dishes were good, but seemed under seasoned. Creamed spinach was not very creamy and was bland. Maybe it is their style of cooking, but not what I’m used to from steakhouse fare.

   Sam H was our server and did a fantastic job. His recommendation for the cheesesteak egg rolls was spot on. He explanations of the menu and specials was appreciated and his recommendation of was sauces for our steaks was appreciated. Looking forward to our next visit.

   Have been been to Sullivans multiple times. This particular night was not their night. Over all the evening was not great. Service slow, steaks not cooked properly. Definitely felt rushed as well. In their defense it is holiday season it the restaurant very busy. Just slightly disappointed in our planned relaxing evening out with my family.

   I’ve been going to Sullivan’s for years but this visit was subpar. Food potions were extremely small for appetizers, salads, sides and steaks. Steaks were not cooked to order for everyone at the table. Bar drinks were served one at a time at the table and were delivered 15 minutes after order. Our server Sam was great and seemed to be as frustrated with everything himself. I would not consider this meal a good value after spending a lot of money and leaving hungry.
