   The service was great. Both the person who greeted me and the server were pleasant and welcoming. I opted for the business lunch with the wedge salad, Delmonico and Brussels sprouts, which were all very good. The portion size was perfect. I would definitely return to this place.

   This Sunday luncheon was a special occasion and the staff, especially our waiter, William, did everything possible to accommodate us. The restaurant is elegant and is a gem hidden on the first floor of the UPMC, formerly U.S. Steel, Tower. Every person in our party found a dish that was delicious. Another guest and I tried their signature cocktails - the Knockout, and I was blown away by the Smoked Rosemary & Orange Old Fashioned. Desserts, including Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, received rave reviews. Altogether a delightful experience.

   We sat down at 5, and ordered drinks which arrived at 6 with our meals. We all ordered a starter. The soup was delivered (cold) and not the salads until right before the meal. Two of us were splitting a steak. It arrived cut into small slices, cold. One steak ordered medium well arrived medium rare. The sides were very good. The server told the manager that we weren’t happy and he nicely came to our table and we discussed our issues. He said that he was new, the restaurant is understaffed, and that he would adjust our bill. He didn’t and at that point we didn’t have time to pursue getting the bill changed. Very disappointed.

   Service in the past was slower. Our dining experience was better though we allowed for more time before attending Pens game

   The food was pretty good but was dampened by poor service. We had a friends birthday that started at 745 9 people, didn't finish until 1115. We did not order desert. Drinks took 15-20 minutes, food order was incorrect. One party members order was confused with another's and that person got their meal well after everyone else was finished. There was no offering to credit the meal, in fact, they acted as if it were a favor that they would "rush" getting the persons food who was left out to the table.. If the restaurant were busy this would be understandable however, there were a sea of empty tables around us and throughout the restaurant. Very disappointing considering the food was pretty good.

    Had anniversary dinner with the family. Food was great and our waiter, Herman, was fantastic. Herman made the experience terrific and Sullivan’s is lucky to have him as a waiter. First time going to Sullivan’s and we will return next time in the area!
