Located in the bustling River North dining scene, Sunda offers a vibrant Southeast Asian dining experience, blending the flavors of Japan, China, the Philippines, Thailand, and beyond. We elevate culturally significant dishes using high-quality ingredients and modern techniques. Our beverage program includes signature handcrafted cocktails, a robust sake and wine selection, and Asian whiskies and beers. Join us for weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2pm, or stop by during happy hour Monday to Friday from 4-6pm featuring $6 bar bites, handrolls, and beer, $9 cocktails and wine, and $10 sake. Our venue hosts private events for occasions from corporate outings to rehearsal dinners, and we also offer catering services.

Love this restaurant but do not recommend the outdoor dining in winter months unless it is a wry cloudy day. Most tables get too much sun and you have to move around to avoid the glare in your eyes etc. it is warm as it is enclosed and can actually be too warm especially with the sun. I would recommend they invest in blinds to add to the temporary structure.

Good experience at Sunda celebrating my birthday. The food came fresh, not a long wait considering how busy the restaurant was. We were seated at the “chef’s table” in a corner a d were able to have a good conversation. Dessert was on the house, much appreciated.

Not the sunda I remember. Food was mediocre as was the service. In a large well known place we were one of 4 tables. Disappointed!

Amazing food and drinks! Came here to celebrate my birthday and we were all pleased with the meals and service. The crispy wagyu rice was phenomenal! Will for sure be back

A Chicago staple for great new style Asian food. Always an energetic vibe with high quality, diverse options. If you’re looking for a unique and flavorful dessert that you can’t find anywhere else try the Turon.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Sunda. The service was great, the cocktails different and delicious, the food was outstanding but the music and volume were extremely off-putting. It was annoying to the point of me hoping we could leave as soon as possible. I don't mind loud music, but it was very heavy, very un-melodic noise. Certainly not of a genre that made me feel inclined to stay and enjoy the evening. Plus the lights were on a big brighter than I remember them being, which made it appear to be like an average restaurant, especially with the loud racket of "music".
