Since its opening in 1974, prime steaks and martinis have never gone out of style at this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia and plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their slow-roasted prime rib & hand-cut U.S.D.A Prime Steaks, they also offer fresh seafood, cold water lobster tail & succulent shellfish. The 20 oz. Bone-In Rib eye Steak is the Boss’ Favorite while the Double Cut Filet Mignon runs a close second. I am totally biased as I may have been to Sundance over 500 times over the last 20 years, but this is the most consistent restaurant at which I have ever dined. The staff is incredible, the food is very good and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The level of care they have for their customers is really unparalleled! I am a big fan and hope all will enjoy Sundance too.

Fabulous food, wonderful service and great ambiance. Delivered on all accounts and the patronage was very collegial as we all watched the Tyson fight on our cellphones. Exceptional experience.

My husband and I had a really nice lunch here. The quality of food was great, the ingredients were fresh, and the service was on point. Thomas was really polite and helpful to our needs even before we asked. I would definitely recommend the clam chowder soup, the prime rib, and the jack burger.

Usually service and food is a 5 star. As a matter of fact I ate there last night as well and it was 5 stars. Lunch was a different story. My daughter ordered Chicken Marsala without dairy and it was served dry and had no taste. She asked for the Marsala sauce on the side. It tasted terrible! I tasted it too and it tasted like plain Marsala wine. The cook was not the same as the previous evening nor ones we had in the past with the same order. It was very disappointing!
