   An incredible dining experience with top-notch food and attentive service. We did the delicious Shio chef’s tasting menu - absolutely fantastic! It was a very memorable and stunning meal and I look forward to our next visit!

   Sushi Shio presented top quality sushi and sashimi for lunch, sourcing delicious fish from 3 continents. The sushi and sashimi lunch specials included a sophisticated gazpacho, the tastiest scallop sunomono, miso cod in a pumpkin coulis, sashimi and sushi from Japan, Australia, California and Korea, and delicious desserts. The Sake menu is excellent. Service is very friendly.

   The food was fantastic and unexpected. Though my husband and I love Japanese food and have dined in many Japanese places, there were unusually delicious and original options provided on the tasting menu. We ate during restaurant week. The black cod with pumpkin purée was possibly the best bite of fish I’ve ever had in my life. The nigiri was of such high quality and beautiful presentation, it rivaled the most elite restaurants with long waiting lists for reservations. I could go on and on, but I’m sure everything on their menu rings of originality and deliciousness. A+!

   Visited Sushi Shio for the first time during restaurant week and I had a great time dining here. The tasting menu featured a delightful variety of sashimi, flavors, and dishes that make it well worth a visit. Service was friendly, enthusiastic, speedy, and knowledgeable about each dish. The raw fish was exceptionally soft and fresh, with plenty of creative elements incorporated into several dishes. This was a great spot for a special occasion and I would love to come back for another one.

   If you want the best value for money for the quality of food you will receive, this spot is it. The Haku Omakase blew us away with its price and the quality of the dishes we were served.

   We had a lovely meal with 6 friends here. The service was stellar - very attentive and they accommodated our rushed schedule. Half of us had the tasting menu which looked beautiful and delicious. The rest of us had hand rolls, miso soup, and the best item on the menu - Brussels sprouts with salmon skin. Do not pass that up!

   Fantastic find! First time diners, so they slowed down and walked us through everything. Top Top quality fish! Both Unis were amazing and the uni toast app was delish. Proper sake selection, tastings included. The superstars are the Nigiri. Service was great, conversation level is wonderful! Will definitely be back!

    I absolutely love the tasting menu at this restaurant. Everything is so thoughtfully prepared and served. They always provide something I've never had before. The color, aroma, texture, taste... everything is perfect. And the staff are so charming and helpful! Somehow it feels classic, innovative, and quirky -- very Japanese-in-SF.
