   It’s a nice restaurant and the food that we had was good… but the noise level was beyond comprehension….. they have a DJ who played louder than needed music. Then…. Then the saxophonist showed up. He didn’t need a mic, but had one which increased the volume. He toured from room to room and we had to cover our ears it was so loud The staff got into it clapping as well. We thought it might be for just a minute, but after 10 minutes of having to hold our hands over our ears it wasn’t stopping. We called the server over to ask how long the music will continue. I think he said it goes on all night. We then asked for the manager. The manager wasn’t very attentive. When we asked again if the volume was going to stay at this level he refused to give us a straight answer. We asked that he cancel our order for our mains, got the check and left. He wasn’t apologetic and we specifically looked on our way out for any notice about live music or level of noise and could not find anything. It’s one thing to have live music, but when it’s so loud that you can’t enjoy your company you are spending time with nor your dinner, that’s a major problem. It’s like eating your dinner in a loud, pulsating night club. Save that crap for a bar, not a restaurant!!!

   1/10 stars, went here for my anniversary dinner with my BF, first 10 minutes were great however they tried to push expensive steaks, expensive tequila shots on us. Upon realizing they would not be making excessive amounts of $ on us, they proceeded to rush us through our meal. From trying to take plates before we finished to grabbing the menu, pointing at the entrees demanding we order before we even received our appetizers. Horrible experience and they shuffled us out in less than an hour. Best part is there were multiple tables empty around us and now I see why Also no saxophone or live music so don’t get your hopes up. This was all at 7 pm on a Saturday FYI, Greek meatballs & our 2 drinks were good that’s about it, the entrees you could find better option’s elsewhere

   Taboo was more theater than restaurant. The venue was very pretty, the food was fair, and the music/ noise was deafening. The service tries hard but was just ok.

   Saw the reviews of this place on TripAdvisor (which never does us wrong) and we were underwhelmed by it all. Beautiful place, first server was a bit aggressive in pushing his recs on wine without leaving the wine menu with us. Second server we had was so sweet and attentive. We were 2, seated at a table for 4 and one of our chairs was a bench that wasn’t being used by us, however it became a place of storage for plates and napkins for other tables - super weird. Servers kept coming to our table to place items on the bench and remove them. It became super annoying and took away from the overall experience. I mentioned multiple times that we are celebrating a birthday - on the reservation, to the hostess and to our waiter. When we finished with our meals, they asked if we wanted dessert, so I went into a panic of sorts that they forgot and we went ahead and ordered a dessert. They brought us our dessert plus another birthday one, which was just too much for us. We left an entire piece of cake on the table, untouched because we were so full with 2 desserts. We would’ve just enjoyed the cake, if it was brought out after our main course, but no, they swindled more money out of us unnecessarily. What a waste of food. The food was ok. We ordered oysters which were HUGE and a little unappetizing, burrata salad which was enjoyable, the rigatoni which wasn’t great - the sauce lacked in spices and flavor in my opinion and the fries which were surprisingly amazing. High praise for those! We had mussels as well that were really good! Overall, the ambiance and servers give off bougie vibes, but the food and overall experience do not match.
