Tagliata is a great place but they get in their own way. There is more than a touch of condescension by the wait staff almost every time we frequent this establishment. In a recent visit several people had the short ribs. One was great but the other was a complete hunk of fat. No big deal, it happens with short ribs. It was so fatty and sinewy, we needed a steak knife to cut it. But when the server was informed and asked for a new piece, rather than apologize and take it back, they took the opportunity to lecture us about the nature of short ribs and question our guest about whether they’d actually like another piece because short ribs are fatty by nature. Even when looking at this hunk of suet, they continued to debate the issue rather than just take it back. Eventually they brought out a new dish and it was much better cut. Our table is a group of knowledgeable and experienced food aficionados who eat short ribs all the time but we were treated like 12 year olds who tried something on the grown up menu and didn’t like it. This seems to be the theme here. Usually great food, great environment, fun cocktails, the always amazing squid ink pasta but a pretentious and condescending wait staff that can ruin an otherwise lovely experience.

Food was not up to par.Not even close. Put us in private room like it was some sort of half-assed up grade. It was cold and isolated. looked like something you would take an exam in. Way overpriced. Never going back!!!
