The origins of South Bank’s newest Asian dining experience are steeped rich in history, honouring traditions in Chinese and South East Asian cuisines. Our restaurant is proudly named after the owner’s ancestral great, great grandmother who was, as the title refers to, Tai Tai.

Our location in the heart of South Bank makes Tai Tai one of Brisbane’s most popular restaurants to dine at before a film, show at QPAC or conference at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. We welcome and encourage walk-ins, however limited number of tables are available to book in advance.

Lovely service from the minute we stepped in to to the minute we left. Five dishes served together and beautifully cooked.

We have eaten at Tai Tai many times now. It has always been very good and this time no exception. The food amazing, the staff were on point, friendly and funny, and our overall experience was A1. We took some friends that hadn’t eaten there before and they said, omg why haven’t we been here. Excellent as always Tai Tai.

We went to Tai Tai (first time) before our show at QPAC last week. The restaurant has a nice vibe, busy but not cluttered and tables are well spaced. All aspects of the service were very good. We ordered a shared starter and a main dish each. I ordered the ginger king prawn and scallop dish as a main and despite lovely fresh seafood, the sauce was very bland and only once did I get any taste of ginger - it was fine, but not special. The chicken dish was delicious. Also, we paid an additional $10 for steamed rice for 2. We also found the restaurant a bit expensive, but considering location etc - not overly. We may give it another try - but probably stick to Thai food (which we love).

Took me 3yr years to return but did not disappoint. The food (pork boa and pork belly) just melted in your mouth, and the wooden dragon cocktail (for the sweet tooth) excellent, not at all overly sweet. Service was great.

Service was great, quick and friendly. The menu is amazing, always so tasty. This is my "go to" restaurant when going to QPAC :)

Delicious Chinese food, outstanding friendly fast service. Eggplant with pork mince hot pot, crispy skin chicken, wok fried scallops & king prawns & fried rice all cooked to perfection. Banana fritters & ice cream tasty. Good selection of Wine by the glass. Airy outdoor seating. Very enjoyable lunch pre theatre.

The service was amazing friendly staff. Food was very quick and very delicious. Our first Valentines date and we will be back. Cannot say enough about this beautiful restaurant. Excellent customer service.
