   Tana is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The first time we went, I ordered the cheese wheel pasta and it was incredible! So, we went back again for my birthday. That time, it wasn’t on the menu anymore and we were told that they didn’t have it right now. We just went back again last night, hopeful that they’d have it, seeing as they had just posted a video of it on their Instagram and added it back to the menu, but we were told they didn’t have it last night either. This was upsetting. We even heard a couple sitting a few tables down from us tell the waiter that they were leaving because they only came for that. It is obviously a major selling point of the restaurant, so it is unfortunate that we will not know when it will be available, even if it is on the menu and their Instagram is promoting it. We still enjoyed our food, but I was so looking forward to having that dish again. It is unfortunate that I have missed out on it two times since the first time I had it.

   Wonderful experience! The food and service were excellent. Only complaint is that is was so noisy.

   Second time to this fine establishment. Enjoyed it even more. Food is excellent, in addition to being quite innovative. Wine list is very nice, will be back.

   Another great experience at Tana. The service (Brian in particular) was spot on. The food was amazing. Don't sleep on the pasta cart; delicious.

   We celebrated with friends and had a great time at Tana. But were sorry to see they no longer offer valet parking. It was a busy night but our wait staff was good and attentive and Nick was excellent! The whole place was full so the noise level was high and conversation a bit difficult between us but we really enjoyed the overall vibe. Two of us loved the appetizer of perfectly done Oysters Bordelaise and wanted to lick the plates! And we also had the delicious Gulf Shrimp Paccheri which was a delight with its perfectly cooked shrimp and handmade pasta in a not too overpowering complex red sauce. However, the Braised Meatballs were nothing special and the Creamy Italian Salad was made from a whole head of butter lettuce dressed well but tasted like there was fennel in it which made for an odd taste. Then two had the Four Cheese Ravioli with truffle cream which was VERY rich but rather mediocre.The home-made pasta was very large and well done but very little taste of the truffle. We were all too satiated for dessert but will definitely be back again even if we have to drive out to Metairie for the top-notch service and food.

   Food was very good but expensive. We had the oyster & tuna appetizer. Both were good but the portion of the tuna dish was minimal & not worth the cost. Main course was ver good. Lamb shank was delicious. Wine list has become more extensive than our last visit & most were more expensive than expected.

    FAVORITE AUTHENTIC ITALIAN PLACE! I don’t know what’s better - the food or the atmosphere! Impressed is an understatement. Will be back asap.
