Tartufo Restaurant is an award-winning Italian restaurant and full service bar featuring authentic, unique, Abruzzese and Mediterranean cuisine. We have been serving our guests in Newton Centre, Massachusetts since 2004. Our menu is comprised of made to order Italian cuisine, with all natural ingredients in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. We welcome you to come, sit back, relax, and enjoy our delicious Italian food, as well as our wide selection of premium wines.

Tartufo was founded by Owner/Manager Anna Mountzuris. Anna explains, “the concept for the restaurant entails an enticing assortment of organic meats, fish, vegetables, freshly baked bread and desserts, all prepared in the Abruzzese and Mediterranean tradition”.

The restaurant double booked due to a glitch and we got a table 1 h 20 min after our reservation. The food is always excellent as was our waiter. Shame on them for not comping a dessert or something.

Dining at Tartufo was amazing! All six of us loved every morsel of food! The presentation was lovely; there were numerous inviting choices on the menu! Steve, the manager, was welcoming and Enrique was a terrific waiter! I even met Ted, the former manager the next day!! You can be sure, Tartufo is now on the top of our list for me, the New Yorker, and for my family in Newton!

A nice place. Dress pretty much anyway you like, but more dressy is the norm. I booked a table for a first date kind of last minute. We were reserved at the bar. It worked out. The bartender seemed a little condescending, also got past that, as I with the most beautiful lady in the place. The food was good, bordering great. Although I felt the lobster ravioli was just a touch dry. Meatball app was fantastic, as is the grill toasted bread served with it. A really nice date, excellent food, no alchohol and under 100 bucks. Score!

Service is European in style: unobtrusive, elegant, and knowledgeable. Cuisine is high class northern Italian of such intense flavors and consistent quality that it makes for a memorable occasion. Value is excellent. This is "my" neighborhood restaurant which is special every time I go.

This was probably our fourth or fifth visit. It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was blessedly more quiet and hectic than previous visits. Service was excellent. Although the food has always been good, we especially enjoyed the seafood risotto we had on Sunday
