   Ok, my wife and I were in Loveland yesterday and decided to try Teak. We have been wanting to since they opened since I used to frequent the location in Mt Adams and told my wife that she was in for a treat. Boy was I wrong. Let me start by saying the staff was great!! They were attentive and knowledgeable. The interior, however, looked old and worn as the bar chairs we saw are old and worn…leftover from the previous restaurant in that space. Now for the food. This is where they lost us. We had Chicken Satay and fried Calamari as appetizers. The Chicken was okay but the Calamari was not seasoned and a little over cooked and chewy ( but passable). The entrees were a different story. I ordered the seafood delight. I had to stop eating after a few bites because one of the mussel shells had broken and there were pieces of the shell throughout the dish. I crunched twice before I figured it out and then saw the pieces. There is no way the chef didn’t see them as they are black and easy to see…and one of the mussel shells was obviously broken, but they served it anyway. I guess the flavor was ok, but I didn’t get very far and the level 8 spice I ordered was more of a 3. That’s me, but my wife had issues as well. She ordered the Teak Trio, also an 8 but very little spice. She only ate a little because the beef was very tough and it turned her off a little. She left 75%. I will say that after I printed out the shells, the dish was removed from the bill. We paid and I tipped generously because it wasn’t the servers fault. All of this being said, I don’t write reviews all that often, but we won’t be going back as there are other Asian restaurants not too far away that are tried and true.

   Great food and great service! Highly recommend! Parking is on the street or behind the restaurant.

   We love it. We usually split the the Sushi Dinner and a Stir Fry between the 2 of us. The Teak Margarita is one of my favorite cocktails!

   The food, drinks, and service were wonderful. It is a small place and the table behind us had a screaming toddler so that was not the best, but really not Teak’s fault.

   There were four of us for dinner. Overall we had a great experience. Three of us loved our meals and would choose to order again. One ordered crispy duck and he wasn’t wowed. Our server was very knowledgeable and nailed the heat level for each of us. The scale is 1-10 but she lowered us all significantly. We like spicy food and I would normally have said 6-7. My Jungle Noodles were a spicy dish to begin with so she suggested starting at 3 and they could heat up if necessary. It was plenty hot. Overall noise level was moderate. We could converse normally. We will go back.

    So blessed to have Teak in my hometown of Loveland. Best Thai Food in Cincinnati. Don't miss the Bike Trail Sushi Roll or the Green Bean stir fry with chicken! Sauce is amazing!
