Although only a few tables were occupied, our bar and food service was slow. Server was also bartender for top price drinks. Salmon was ordered medium and came out over-cooked in unattractive presentation. Our after dinner drinks were almost gone before a slice of nicely presented cheese cake arrived. We were told that name chef was leaving 8n August to open her own restaurant. I wish her the best of luck. We won't be following her.

This review may not be relevant since from the time we walked in at our scheduled reservation 6:30 on a Saturday night maybe not what you want to read. We were One of the 3 total couples there - so many tables open and the place didn’t seem like it was a popular or happening place. We decided to just cancel the reservation and walk across the street to PIAF. I was very saddened and surprised by that people were not there. I’d like to give it another try when there is more of a crowd. I wish this place the best of luck to bring their flavor to our great downtown city of Grapevine.

We were kindly seated. She said she would come back to take our order but we never saw her again. The restaurant wasn’t busy so it was disappointing. We also wanted the ARANCINI that was no longer on the menu. Everything read to be pretty basic and we wanted something more exciting so we left…

We were seated at a table along side wall. Rear door would open several times and blind us. Initial table for 2 along the side wall had such an AC downdraft we had to move. Very noisy clanging at the bar probably because we were seated very close to the bar. We had to ask for the 3 course meal menu that we usually order when we go there. Starters entrees and dessert were very good.

Out of some wines and beverages that are on the menu. Sever was not knowledgeable about the offerings. No longer offers coffee. Incredibly slow service even though restaurant was almost empty. Save your money. This place is not going to last.

For an award winning chef this place has challenges. Not enough wait staff. The food was good but not great and they offer you bread, but don’t tell you that they charge for it. We dined on a Friday night. At 7:00 there were only 4 people in the place. Other places in downtown Grapevine were crowded. As a resident we are trying to support our community. This one is a tough putt with other options that are much better. Average at best.

Food was amazing. Service slow apparently due to only a few waitstaff. Was informed the salad would be “on the house” given slow to arrive at the table, it was not. Waiter did not return our credit card and seemed upset that we insisted he find it and return it. Behold it was behind the bar!

We believe in supporting local restaurants and this was our fourth or fifth visit to Teatro. The food has been good every time. The service, however, has continued to get worse each time. It has gone from "new" which we understand as the team could still be learning, to poor. Our server was mediocre at best. Not sure where she was most of the evening as she only had 3 tables (that was all that were even seated at the time) but she couldn't be bothered to check on us in a timely manner. Little things like clearing plates, bringing new silverware after appetizers, literally making us move our own appetizer plates out of the way so she could put the entrees on the table, bringing steak knives out before the food was delivered, waiting to go put in the one dessert order we placed to see if others were ordering dessert, bringing out silverware to eat the dessert before the dessert was delivered and making excuses for the slow food instead of apologizing. We really wanted this place to do well, but we will not be returning.
