Established in 2017, Téatro Bar & Restaurant is the sister business to the nationally recognised Barn Theatre, located nextdoor to Ingleside Hotel in Cirencester

We pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience; offering quality, sourced produce formed into exquisite menus, alongside carefully crafted drinks, all served by our wonderful front of house staff.

Our stylishly designed restaurant and famous outdoor area, The Firepit, sit either side of our relaxing bar where live piano fills the air. Teatro is the ideal venue for any occasion; a birthday, pre theatre dinner, or a drink with friends.

Yet another great dining experience at Teatro, as a pre theatre booking. Service was prompt and helpful. As usual we were reminded when we needed to proceed to the Theatre for the performance. What is impressive is sensible changes in menu from one visit to another (average of about 6 weeks gaps). The food is excellent, and vegetarian options good, though I would prefer a slightly wider choice of vegetarian dishes. The price of meals is in line with many similar restaurants, so not cheap, but good value. The whole thing is so convenient when paired with going to the Barn Theatre; there is a big public car park (across the road), and you move from Teatro to the Barn theatre completely in the same building.

Sited next to the Barn Theatre, Teatro is a convenient restaurant for both the theatre and Cirencester town. The menu is interesting and the online booking system fairly easy to negotiate. Ambience within is good and the staff generally welcoming. Good starter but the main courses were very late in arrival and although well prepared were inappropriately cold. May simply have been a bad day. Others have found the place excellent and we went based on recommendation.

Over an hour for main course to arrive. Asked for more water which never arrived. Only offered drinks once on 2 hours. Asked for ketchup (for children) and mustard which never arrived. 1 of 4 starters arrived after the other 3 had finished eating theirs. Not sure if they were short staffed or another explanation but would not recommend from our experience today.

Unfortunately it was not the experience we expected. We were told that our meal would be completed prior to the theatre start and to relax and enjoy the meal. Due to staff shortages this was not the case. However, the staff reacted well, gave us a refund for the desserts that had not arrived in time, dismissed the service charge and arranged for a free drink in the interval. Disappointed that it was the experience we had been looking forward to, but happy with how it was dealt with. We will return.

Great food as always. Service is always lacklustre sadly, with long waits, collection of iPads constantly, no check backs, and very robotic.

The service was very good on the whole. The menu isn't extensive though with only a few choices. The venue looks tired and could do with brightening up.

Taking my husband who has Coeliac Disease to a fine dining restaurant, it was very disappointing to find only one gluten free starter. My duck main course was tasty, but it would have benefitted enormously from some fresh vegetables and please serve the sauce on the side. My sauce was over thickened, sticking to the plate. Had my plate of food been microwaved? I found the restaurant expensive and the portions small. The staff, however, were exemplary and we enjoyed the atmosphere apart from over loud music which was appropriate for the bar, perhaps, but not the restaurant.

Absolutely brilliant pre theatre dinner, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was perfect. This was our first trip to the theatre and the meal and restaurant made it really special.
