   We've eaten at Ted's many times over the years. This meal was not as good as it has been in the past. We ordered the whipped ricotta which was nice but underwhelming—needed more seasoning. In contrast, the mushroom tortilla sandwich was very spicy and not a welcome level of spice. It should have been noted on the menu. The chicken parm was good as was the short rib pasta, but like the ricotta, it was just okay. Could have used more flavor. We were charged $2 for extra bread with the ricotta, which was annoying. Our server was great but because of understaffing, he ran the bar and several tables. Too much for one person, but he tried. $167 for a mediocre meal for four was too pricey.

   Ted's Bulletin is local chain in Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland with a limited menu. Although we came for dinner I think they specialize in an all day breakfast. The food was decent but unspectacular American fare. I started with a glass of Malbec followed by the home made tomato soup. For my entre a had the short rib pot roast served over whipped potatoes with carrots. My companion had a glass of Grüner Veltliner and the Harvest salad with broccolini. Servings were generous and we didn't have desert although there were some nice some nice options.

   Our server was incredible the food and drinks all came so fast even at the end of Saturday brunch and everything was delicious.

   We splurged on a Valentine’s Day dinner experience so we ordered beverages and food in quantities that we we don’t normally order. For example, I normally enjoy one beer per meal. On this occasion, I ordered three cocktails and a boozy milkshake. They were all very tasty, but I felt as if I only had the alcohol equivalent of one beer. (This might be common at bars and restaurants as far as I know.) For starters, we ordered Loaded Tots. Delicious. The side salads were tasty. Entrees: Blackened Salmon and Short Rib Pot Roast. They were so delicious that we ordered the same to take home.  Finally, the service was exceptional. We had no right to better service than this. Overall, it was a delightful Valentine’s Day experience.

   The food was so good!!!!!! The best brunch I've had since living in DC for 2 years. I got biscuits and gravy and my boyfriend got steak and eggs. Both were excellent. The only thing I didn't love was that the orange juice had pulp.

   We like Ted's menu, and the atmosphere and location, all of which keep us coming back. The one thing that seems consistently poor is service.
