   The salad bar was phenomenal—everything was fresh and delicious. The soup was good as well, though the lobster flavor in the bisque was a bit overwhelming compared to other places I’ve had it. However, the table we were seated at was uncomfortably close to the salad bar, making our dinner for two feel very open and exposed. It would be much better if those tables were moved further away to reduce foot traffic near diners. One major downside was that almost everything was wrapped in bacon—which was disappointing since I don’t eat pork. The first three waiters who came by only had skewers with bacon-wrapped items, whether it was chicken, jalapeños, or steak. We had to wait quite a while before any plain beef came around. When it finally did, it was undercooked, so we had to keep sending our poor waiter back and forth for medium-well beef. It would be much more efficient if each waiter carried two skewers—one with medium-well meat and one for those who prefer it rarer. As for the sides, the mashed potatoes were a bit dry, and the fries were overcooked. However, the fried plantains were excellent. Unfortunately, we never received a refill on our water, which was frustrating.

   First time here and was a good experience. One dislike, It was pretty busy and I wish the tables were spaced out more, didn’t leave a lot of privacy for conversations and intimacy. So we hurried through our meal! I only ate from the salad bar but everything was delish! My husband did the meat and said everything was amazing! He really enjoyed the bacon wrapped filet mignon! Our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! Overall good experience!

   The evening began with a problem concerning our table. When we complained the staff listened and moved us to an area we found more acceptable. Our waiter, Ivan, came to the table about 5 minutes later and took our drink order. We both ordered house wines. The salad bar is stocked with salads, vegetables, cheeses, and soups. When we turn over the card indicating we’re ready for meat, the gauchos begin stopping our table. The variety is amazing; chicken, beef, lamb and sausages. The sides included garlic mashed potatoes and plantains. Everything tasted great. Ivan checked on us often enough to be attentive without being intrusive. When we finished he brought the check and I paid. Ivan thanked us for our patience which leads me to believe he was a fairly new hire. Overall the evening was a success.

   If you have never been i recommend the downtown location versus the Ann arbor one. Just from overall space and food quality it's much better hands down. Service was okay not bad but not great.

   Had a table alongside the bar on the way to the restrooms, so it was quite a busy location. Gauchos were very prominent, bringing various meats, but could be a little more communicative regarding their offerings - often hard to hear them. Salad bar is amazing, as were the sides. Will return!

   Food was great, meat servers were great, waitress was meh. Atmosphere is more quiet but less lively than the downtown Detroit location. Meal for 2 with 1 drink and 1 coke was $140 not including the tip. It's pricey, but if you are a big meat eater, it's well worth it.
