   It was a beautiful experience. But this isn’t my first time to the Ahwahnee. The out do themselves from staff to food every time. Will be back.

   While the main kitchen is closed for construction, they are doing ok out of cooking pods…can’t wait for the re-open!

   The dining experience was over all lovely. The prime rib was delicious and so tender. The service was professional and fun. Everyone made us feel right at home. We will definitely return.

   Very nice breakfast buffet. Lovely dining room with impressive views of Yosemite Falls if you are seated in the west wing.

   Excellent food, iconic location. Beware, only valet parking and it’s $15. They ran out of pork :(

   Got to the Ahwahnee Hotel only to find out that there is no self parking anymore, valet is $10 with validation. Makes sense during the summer, but not during winter when it’s really cold and the place is half empty. Tried to have a drink at the bar before our reservation and that was a no-go either. Half the bar was closed and we were told it would take a while to get a table. The hostess was not the friendliest and talked to us like we were slow. Our drinks were not on the menu but the bartender did a really good job making what we wanted. My pomegranate martini was delicious. We took our drinks to the dining hall and were seated promptly at our reservation time. We were celebrating a birthday, and even though we didn’t get a window seat, the place we sat at was fine. The food was “ok” I pretty much tried everything and my favorite were the prime rib, mac n cheese, and asparagus. The pork was a bit dry, the chickpea fritters were not to my liking, the potatoes were cold, actually I wish everything was a bit warmer. I really didn’t like the rockfish nor the desserts. Drinks were not offered, water was served, but I did ask for a soda and later a coffee. The person bringing the drinks was not the friendliest either. There’s really no other place to have a nice birthday dinner at Yosemite, so this was a must do, however, the quality could be better. The ambiance was nice, the dining hall is grand.

   Dinner is still buffet service. The entrees were not warm enough. The vegetables were cooked perfectly but the fish was overcooked and lacking in flavor. The salads were overdressed - it would be nice to have a dressing on the side option. The desserts were mediocre. Love the ambiance with the live piano.

    Lovely setting with piano music. My husband enjoyed the selection of meats. Somewhat limited for vegetarian options. Asparagus was delicious, as well as chick pea fritters. What was outstanding were the brownie bites and the mini cheesecakes!
